For Sean Hannity, the question of who would be best suited to join Donald Trump on the Republican ticket is clear-cut: It's Newt Gingrich. Appearing on Fox News Monday night, the former speaker of the House heard a cascade of effusive praise and reasoning as to why he would be best positioned to take on the role of Trump's No. 2. Hannity laid out what he saw as the most important questions for the presumptive nominee to consider as he weighed choices on his short list, which have been said to include the likes of Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Mike Pence and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
"Who would be best at prosecuting the case against Hillary in terms of the list that he has? Who would be best in terms of making the case and articulating the case for Donald Trump with a positive voice like you have? Who would be the person that would pretty much be assured a win in any presidential/vice presidential debate?" Hannity told Gingrich. "I think youve checked that corner. Who has balanced the budget and given us a surplus? Who has the ability to work with Congress? I check all the boxes, and you're right there at the top, and I think you'd be the right choice. What is your response to that?" Hannity made sure to remark that he was not offering up the recommendation "as a friend." "I'm speaking objectively here. I think you would prosecute the case against Hillary better than anybody, strategize and help them win, and help him govern, which, with a hostile speaker and majority leader, would be difficult," the Fox host continued, as Gingrich grinned. Such talk "is all very flattering," Gingrich said, calling Hannity's questions "a pretty good set of criteria."

Hannity hasn’t uttered a sentence w/o interrupting himself multiple times, in decades; always the mark of a complete scatterbrain. And were supposed to care what this inflated nobody thinks???
I think Newt after the first four could step down to Chief of Staff and let a younger person in for #2.
But if the two make positive changes a non Dem could win in 24.
I think he does better staying Miss Nancy's Cabana Boy.
I hear #2 did not quite happen that way. It has already been driven by Dems.
Newt would be nearly 82 in 2025. You’d need a forklift to get him off of Nancy Pelosi’s sofa.
Bush just sat down next to Obama, so what? LOL
4 seconds quicker but you were thinking of the picture too!LOL
I’m dying to hear Newtie lecture more to us honkeys on how we don’t understand what it’s like to be Black in America. Because pandering to the terrorist BLM group is precisely what the Republicans need to be doing. Yeah. Newtie is smart.
Newt would be a disaster. He would be a endless target.
He can be in another position but not vp.
Oh, I can’t ever forget the sofa. I mentioned him as her cabana boy upthread before you reposted the pic. :-P
I think Newt would be better as chief of staff. Mike Pence for VP...based upon the rumored names
Hannity evidently thinks it will be Newt.
I believe Newt will be in the cabinet, and a position he’s meant for, however he should never be the VP choice. He’d be a detriment to the campaign. A millstone if you will for the campaign.
Somebody with no history to rehash, or cause burden to the campaign yet with enough management experience, and preferably political management ability to instill confidence during the campaign.
We have to kick the Democrats collective butts with a single shoe. There isn’t the backing of the party, therefore we need someone who can contribute to a major win. A win so YUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fraud will have no consequence.
No to VP Newt as I think he has his own agenda, and I’d rather my President didn’t have to fight his VP as well as the legislature.
He also thought Guliani would be the nominee in 2008
Post #34 ~ I believe Newt will be in the cabinet, and a position hes meant for, however he should never be the VP choice. Hed be a detriment to the campaign. A millstone if you will for the campaign. ~
Agreed! Newt has too much baggage (although some successes) and I believe Trump is MUCH smarter than Hannity.
He’s running on his professional life skills, not for Miss Alabama.
Trump & Newt maybe.
