Jeb Bush: I can’t vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, ‘and it breaks my heart’
Washington Times ^ | July 11, 2016 | David Sherfinski

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — who along with a few other 2016 GOP presidential candidates still refuses to support Donald Trump — said he still can’t vote for either Mr. Trump or likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“I can’t vote for Hillary Clinton and I can’t vote for Donald Trump, and it breaks my heart,” Mr. Bush said in an interview that aired on MSNBC Monday evening. “This is my the first time in my adult life I’m confronted with this dilemma.”

“A lot of the governors, I would have been very comfortable with,” Mr. Bush said. “John Kasich I thought ran a great campaign, and [Marco] Rubio, [Ted] Cruz. There are a lot of people. The bar’s not that high for me. I’m not suggesting that you have to be a perfect candidate.”

(snip)

“This is a decision that’s painful for me,” he said. “I love my country like everybody else does, and I see us languishing at a time when we should just be leading the world.”

Mr. Bush said if Mr. Trump loses in a landslide, he’ll feel “sad,” and if he wins, he’ll be “worried.”

“Jeb Bush revealed in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon that party loyalty with establishment figures is a one-way street.

“The former Florida Governor wrote on Facebook that he is planning on breaking the loyalty pledge he signed in South Carolina and breaking his promise to Republican voters he made in several debates stating he would vote for whoever won the GOP nomination.”

Low energy loser. $150 mm couldn’t buy 1 delegate. American voters saw right through you, easy because you don’t have a spine, however deep pockets the open border guys flushed $150 mm backing you. They actually thought they could buy the election. Might be the seem for Hillary and her money and joins you on the loser team.

I am reminded of Benjamin Disraeli's command to a recalcitrant Tory member of Parliament: "Damn your principles! Stick to your party." Jeb and other hold out anti-Trumpers need a kick in the rear and to be told the same thing. They can privately detest Trump, but they ought to support him based on respect and acceptance of the opinion of the Republican party and most conservatives as expressed through the primaries and the nominating process.

In truth, many anti-Trump establishment Republicans like Jeb and his circle cannot accept that they lost and that the Republican Party is not a servile extension of their own views, egos, and interests. Whether Trump wins or loses, Jeb has put the mark of party disloyalty on himself and every member of the Bush crowd who do not clearly buckle down and publicly support Trump.

It’s only because he is incapable of filling in the bubbles for the optical scanners correctly.

So I guess his pledge to support the GOP nominee was conditional.

POS.

It’s not just your heart that’s broken, Jeb. You’ve got a problem with your brain too.

Jeb's "cost per vote" was 10x higher almost everyone else's, and about 100x higher than Trump's. That doesn't stop Bush from calling Trump an egomaniac.

And here it is:

NH: GOP Establishment Spends 20X Per Vote as Trump/Cruz

From Morning Consult:

Candidate.....Spent
Bush.......... $36.1m
Christie...... $18.5m
Rubio......... $15.2m
Kasich....... $12.1m
Clinton....... $10.8m
Sanders........ $8.1m
Trump......... $3.7m
Graham .. .... $3.2m
Fiorina ........ $1.8m
Paul ..... ....... $831k
Cruz............. $580k
Carson.......... $575k
Pataki ........... $374k
Total......... $111.9m

It’s his dirty, corrupt family that has been taking us over for 60 years.

said, "I don’t believe for a second that the Bush family won’t vote for Hillary"

exactly right. I used to hold my nose to vote for these people. screw them. This is the first election since Reagan that I'm voting for a candidate not against.

I wonder if all these backstabbers will finally shut up after the convention is over and Trump is the nominee? The ones who hold no office (Jeb, Romney, et al.) can slink back off to wherever they live these days.

What a small man Jeb has proven to be. Even when on tippy-toes.

Every time the man speaks, he validates the wisdom of the voters who told him to go pound sand.

It is essential for the new castrated American male to constantly talk about their feelings and emotions and their “hearts.”

Makes me sick! Good old fashioned macho tough guy American men had the biggest strongest hearts of all. They worked, fought, struggled with their big prideful hearts beating deep in their chests.

They didn’t feel the need to put their “hearts” on their shirtsleeves for all to see. Nor was it necessary to constantly talk about their “feelings.”

The Bush’s country is Saudi Arabia.

Their loyalty is torn between a love of two countries: Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

I thought that the Bush cost per vote was even higher than that, but 10x more than Trump’s is still pathetic.
