He is one of Trump's advisers so I'm not jumping to the conclusion he's the vice pick. I think Newt has a spot in another area because he's not tied to a state and he's too slow and old to be a VICE.

Now, I do live here in the beautiful state of INDIANA so my reasoning is somewhat slanted, Ok not somewhat but is slanted that Pence is the Vice pick. I certainly am keeping my fingers crossed.

Trump definitely has game. I read Gingrich has cut ties with Fox News as of today. I'd be fine with Pence as VP and Newt as COS. Newt has a good mind, but I don't think his skills translate to the ballot box well.

Newt is too important to put into Vice. Just my opinion. Pence would have a path for President whereas Newt has no path with his make-up physically. Newt NEEDS A FILTER which Donald is his filter.

Newt may have been a red herring to keep the press attention away from Trump while he made his decision knowing all along the final decision would put him as advisor not actual VP.
Trump needs a confident. VP is NOT that job. It’s a lesser management position—president in training.
