Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry might have given Donald Trump a full-throated endorsement for president, but he is not so fond of the presumptive Republican nominee's plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border.
In an exchange posted Monday with Snapchats Peter Hamby on the social network's political show, "Good Luck America," Perry shot down Trump's proposal.
"Im for Donald Trump, and he says were going to build a wall, the Mexicans are gonna pay for it," he said. Hamby then injected, "Its not going to happen."

“Rick Perry on Trump’s border wall: Never going to happen”
The liberals said the SAME THING about the ice skating rink in Central Park - even after Trump took over.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wollman_Rink
Nothing new here.
this is why Sessions needs to be VP - no compromise on deporting illegals & building the wall
Strange that Yeb! said the same thing.
Is this trying to build support for a new candidate???
I wonder what ‘they’ told the Chinese, back in the day?
But I don't think he will build a wall...paid for by Mexico.
Okay...so let's say we build a "wall".
Maybe...I'm not thinking correctly...or out of the box.
Maybe Trump thinks we build the wall...and save hundreds of thousands of dollars....and many of those dollars were shipped back to Mexico...and thus Mexico actually pays for it?
I dunno.....
All that said....a "wall" needs to be built. Physically or electronic...
Our American way of life....is at serious risk.
Of course that is what the elite globalists want.........
Try Everything

Since government can't build anything for less than a billion dollars a mile, I rather doubt it.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE !!!!!!!
Apologies to God.
So Perry is down to doing interviews with Snapchat?
Anyone who doubts Trump about the wall just hasn’t been paying attention.
Then we will just plan to stack the bodies on what use to be the border. Its a wall of sorts.
I’m begging to think there are more liberals in drag in the GOP than conservatives.
Slap a tariff on their imports...they’ll pay one way or another.
Rick Perry as POTUS - Never going to happen .
Sure Rick, Trump may not build the wall. But at least he says he will try, which is why he is better than you. If he fails on the job, we can fire him and get someone else. But it won’t be someone like you that gives up before he tries.
Perry is addicted....
...to mexican food.
I don’t blame him but selling out your own country for good hot sauce is way over the line.
Bill was passed and money slotted when W was president. Only some toad or something stopped it ( EPA)
Is there a statute of limitation on a bill?
Problem seems to be dialing back the EPA.
Now who could he put in charge of that.
Misleading headline.
Caveat paragraph:
Well, its not,” Perry agreed, adding it might not only in the literal sense. “Its a wall, but its a technological wall, its a digital wall. There are some that hear this is going to be 1,200 miles from Brownsville to El Paso, 30-foot high, and listen, I know you cant do that.”
"Well, its not," Perry agreed, adding it might not only in the literal sense. "Its a wall, but its a technological wall, its a digital wall. There are some that hear this is going to be 1,200 miles from Brownsville to El Paso, 30-foot high, and listen, I know you cant do that."
A physical wall works just fine from El Paso overland to the Pacific. But you ust don't build a physical wall along a river -- especially if it's the only water source in a semi-arid region. Ranchers and livestock and wildlife on both sides of the river need unhindered access to the water.
That's not to say that a secure barrier can't nonetheless be erected. The Israelis have a similar problem when the Jordan River is the only thing separating them from Jordan. There is no fence along this border, save for a common 6' fence of hogwire, mounted on metal posts and topped by two strands of barbed wire that runs about a quarter-mile back from the river. There are frequent gates, most of them left open.
The real "wall" in this case are Israeli border guards supported by high-tech devices -- sensors, cameras, etc. -- and are highly mobile, with ready access to previously developed strong points and firing positions. If it works for Israel on the Jordan, it can work for us on the Rio Grande.
Thus, the Rio Grande border can be effectively secured without a wall...if Trump wants to do it.
