My boyfriend carries all his information in a thick wallet in his right side back pocket, Reynolds said. As hes reaching for his back pocket wallet he lets the officer know, Officer, I have a firearm on me. I begin to yell, But hes licensed to carry. According to Reynolds, the officer started firing shortly after.

So you prefer to believe the (Red)Star Tribune over the police?
Agreed. ______ set him up.
I have seen many press reports asserting he had a concealed carry permit, but haven’t seen any authoritative source quoted on that.
Also, supposedly they had weed on them.
Word is he couldn't keep his license.
Seriously think that his being able to carry should be questioned.
Permit or not, a citizen displaying a gun during a traffic stop is stupid, at best, but more likely trying to get shot or shoot someone.
It’s always “source”, no name, or office.
Ya, I know. Lots of wallets come in blued steel with a rear sight. /s
She seemed to think from the moment he was shot that was her ticket to fame and fortune.
That’s why the cop stopped them. He looked like the suspect who was a BOLO, or however you say it.
There are many that KNOW it is a pistol and still refuse to admit it. See #16.
“She seemed to think from the moment he was shot that was her ticket to fame and fortune.”
Travon’s family, Gentle Giant’s family, etc., etc., ad nauseam.
I have heard from some people with CC permits that the thing to do is keep your hands firmly on the wheel and calmly tell the officer there is a gun in the car and where it is. Then follow the officer’s directions.
Didn’t know the police said he didn’t have one. Where did they say that?
Sounds like something a #BLM racist would say. Are you a #BLM racist?
With his mile long rap sheet of felonies and prison time it is impossible he could have had a carry permit. In point of fact he was in violation of his parole by having a gun in his possession.
“But hes licensed to carry.”
Yeah, but was he licensed to ILL?
Apparently not.
Thank you.
Likewise, in another state, Lousiana.....during the confrontations between blacks and the Law the other evening, a black woman in a negligee-type flowing gown was photographed standing firm like Joan of Arc on the highway staring down three cops in full, "nasty", "threatening" protective gear.....each of them looking like they were about to jump her, throw her to the cement and then behead her.
The photo is running on AOL news and is becoming viral on the internet.
Mark my words, this photo will become iconic, like the flag-raising Iwo Jima pic and the sailor kissing the nurse in Times Square on VJ day.
Watch for it....her image will be shown on CNN, MSNBC, T-shirts, magazine covers, posters and coffee mugs within days...a real modern-day Horatia-at-the-bridge fending off the racist police attackers on a Baton Rouge street.

I have been stopped three times for traffic violations with a weapon in my car. (I drive slower now) When the officer approched my car I had insurance, drivers licence and carry permit in my left hand with my right hand on the steering wheel. The first thing I said to the officer was that I am armed and tell them where the weapon is. They never asked to take possession of the weapon and were extremely courteous. In fact they let me off with a warning for two of the stops. They liked the fact I was upfront and cooperative.
They can run your license plates and know if you are a concealed carry. Once they know that, they are not worried. It is the bad guys that do not have a license to carry, because the vast majority are criminals and can not get a concealed carry license.
They knew I was one of the good guys. I LOVE TEXAS!
