Is his commentary merely a sub-conscious projection of the sense of betrayal that many actual Conservatives feel, over his brother's betrayal of the strict constructionist representations that he made in 2000?
There is no reason to assume that Donald Trump would follow suit. But we have eight years of Bush II to illustrate the effects of a betrayal--one of which Jeb is certainly aware--at least sub-consciously.

The reason of the Trump nomination is the ‘tragedy’ of the Republican Party routinely not representing the the people that voted for them and routinely bashing and ridiculing its conservative base for decades.

Why doesn’t his Mommy explain to him what a poor loser is?
What did he do four years ago to help Romney?
Why doesn’t he criticize Hillary instead of Trump?
Can he explain if US banks are limited in how much money they can send to Mexico what happens?
Can he explain why the US doesn’t adopt Mexico’s immigration law?

I’m a Trump guy but has already taken mass deportations off the table. He’s not going to kick the illegals out in mass and have them show up at US embassies for readmittance.

what is most annoying about the Bushes is that they claim to be “conservative” but have produced very few results. Bush-43 is responsible for the chaos in middle-east due to his invasion of Iraq to topple a dictator who was killing the radical islamists by the thousands.

iJeb! is too damn dumb to realize that Trump became a phenomenon BECAUSE the GOP had ignored their voter base for so long.

People supporting Donald Trump's presidential bid will "feel betrayed" should the presumptive Republican nominee's campaign promises go unsatisfiedYou mean like the ones who supported every Repubican since 1995?

Hey Jeb, what’s it like to blow $125 million and come in seventh in an eight man race? You are a standard breed in a thoroughbred world. You couldn’t lead a kindergarten assault on a bag of M&M’s
