Veterans Administration Reforms That Will Make America Great Again
The Goals Of Donald J. Trumps Veterans Plan
The current state of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is absolutely unacceptable. Over 300,000 veterans died waiting for care. Corruption and incompetence were excused. Politicians in Washington have done too little too slowly to fix it. This situation can never happen again, and when Donald J. Trump is president, it will be fixed fast.

Especially those older, God-loving, no BS, commie-hating, patriotic ones.
I am a TBI victim.
I found it surprising that a large percentage of current era vets have a tbi rating because of proximity to an expolsion even if no secondary damage is present, but VN era vets in close proximity to explosions cannot get a tbi service connection. I assume explosives must be just that much more powerful now than in the 60’s.
The mk40 rocket hitting 5 ft from me with 6 lbs of high explosive I thought was pretty nasty, but no service connection for tbi for the severe tinnitis it caused.
In 1981, following the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) workers' refusal to return to work, President Ronald Reagan fired the 11,345 strikers and banned them from federal service for life.

Wanna bet? Trump will beat them without mercy in the news. He will call out the individuals responsible and crush them like bugs. I’ve been saying for over a year,”Trump is a street fighter.”
The VA does good things, and is one of the few agencies that the federal government is Constitutionally permitted to manage. But it makes no sense to create a health care monopoly just for veterans, separate and apart from all other health care systems. That is simply wasteful and inefficient. Only a politician or bureaucrat can’t understand how this creates scarcity, delays of treatment, invites corruption, and as usual with governmental agencies accountability is non-existent. Allow Veterans into the Medicare system, if they choose to join that program. Much more efficient, will save money, will offer better treatment, and as necessary Medicare for Veterans can add certain benefit coverage that regular Medicare may not pay for, offering help in specialties that are unique to veterans.
Easy fix: all govt employees get *ALL* their H-Care through the VA. One caveat: Any ‘line’, any/all vet(s) gets bumped, immediately, to the front of any/all govt employee in said ‘line’.
Plus, obtaining h-care outside of the VA is illegal for the politicians/govt employees.
It’s a brilliant plan. The VA will have to learn how to bill private insurance, medicare, medicaid, and obamacrud (if it’s still around) in order to provide non service related care to all Vets.
Yep. Any big U player going against Trump spotlights him/herself to Trump. And he WILL reply.
The plan is so simple and obvious that it makes you want to that it isn’t being done now. Go Trump go! This vet stands with you.
That’s MAKES YOU WANT TO SCREAM - sorry log day this is an emotional subject and I lost my train of thought..
The Vietnam boy’s with ARTY don’t have a tbi rating either. 8 inch and 175’s will do considerable hearing damage, ear plugs didn’t help.
Give Vet’s the option to go to local hospitals. We have Vet’s driving over 100 miles to get to our local VA.
I personally think everybody working at the VA should be a Vet.
Here’s a question from a non-veteran. Does the pentagon have a link to a service member’s duty record that ties into the VA record system?
I think I heard they don’t but this seems like it would save a lot time waiting for the local VA hospital to request records.
bump
It is confusing, here’s a snip from a health article
- In conflict zones such as Afghanistan and Iraq, military personnel are often exposed to intense explosive blasts, which can lead to symptoms of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and eventually long-term brain damage.-
Makes it sound like VN, Korea, WW2, WW1 vets were exposed to less blast damage or lower powered explosives . The article explains blast damage which can be the pressure wave from an explosion or like you said standing within a 155 or 8incher muzzle blast zone when fired. The VA doctors should be the best in diagnosing this, but I went thru multiple tests and got a shrug of the shoulders and denial that any service connection to tbi could be made. With the close (within feet) exposure to a rocket impact that contained about 6lbs of HE and subsequent blast exposure (within a couple hundred feet) of multiple 500lb mk82 bombs I had hallmark symptoms of blast damage tbi, but no go with the VA. It wasn’t going to cost them anything, i’ve been rated 100% for decades (shrapnel damage from the rocket), I just wanted the service connection to the tbi symptoms.
* link to tbi article snipped above
I don’t think so.
