In order to solve the issue of racial bias in policing, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Sunday, the United States needs to "look differently at race if we're going to change it."...
It also means black people have "got to teach your children to be respectful to the police, and you've got to teach your children that the real danger to them is not the police," he said on CBS' "Face the Nation."
White people should recognize that African-American men and boys "have a fear of being confronted by the police because of some of these incidents," regardless of whether some people see it as "irrational" or "rational," he said. The second reality, Giuliani said, is that there is "too much violence in the black community," remarking upon black-on-black violence being a greater danger than police-involved incidents.
"So if you want to deal with this on the black side, you've got to teach your children to be respectful to the police, and you've got to teach your children that the real danger to them is not the police. The real danger to them, 99 out of 100 times," is "other black kids who are going to kill them; that’s the way they’re gonna die," Giuliani said. "Now on the white side, we have to understand whether we get it or not there's an extraordinary fear of the police, and police have to institute a policy of zero tolerance like we did for crime in New York. Zero tolerance. No disrespect."

The whole problem is parents...plural. Something like 60% of black children have only a mother. Without a dad to perform the male role model they can easily become feral animals. The role models they do have are terrible...serial boy friends, drug use, jail time. (Incidentally, this is all caused by welfare and government rules.)
Think of how out of touch the elites have to be for one of them to think such a statement would be in any way helpful.
Mothers too can teach their kids as well as fathers.

They dont. Funny, nobody wanted him in 2008 because of the gay issue (it’s now a SC ruling) and gun grabbing (compared to obama, are you kidding?) and some other things that, though they seemed big at the time, look like gnats compared to what obama has wrought.
He could have won. What a shame.
It’s weird how this movement can only point to fabricated events to prove it. There was no ‘hands up, don’t shoot’. The police have no fault in Baltimore. These events this week are extremely unfortunate, but the victims were bad apples and that contributed to it. The events created by ‘bad cops’ are seldom and a tiny part of one percent. There’s no way to have 100% perfection, and magnifying such events to make them seem common is THE source of this problem.
I had the so called “talk” with my white son when he first started driving in SoCal where there were some police traffic stop shootings. It isn’t only black kids that need the “talk”.
Leftists are angry with Giuliani for his comments. They’ll never learn.
Black culture has MAJOR dysfunction. It tends to be self-loathing which leads to loathing of others and also leads to demotivation, self-pity, and the-world-owes-me-a-living mentality.
Anyone who cares about blacks and our country does not help by coddling this dysfunction as Obama has done. It needs to be confronted directly and dealt with.
Rudy’s doing that. Others need to also. Political correctness is the Highway to Hell.
Go out and look at the cop population of 1969 and compare to today. It’s like double and triple in some communities....going across small towns, urban areas, and states....even at the federal level. Do you really feel more safe now than in 1969? I think over half the population would say they were safer in 1969 than today.
A lot of the hostility is directed at cops because of the revenue gimmick of tickets....bringing in thousands each week to some towns. All of this is mostly paid by the lesser folks who can’t really afford four tickets a year for $750.
We need to force communities and cities to step back away from cops being revenue generators. All it does in the end is create frustrated people who pay year after year into some pot of city money because of tail lights, perceived speeds, etc.
It’s like Muzzie parents teaching their little kids that Jews are evil and pigs.

Teaching black youth to do what cops ORDER them to do would solve nearly ALL interaction problems between police and blacks!!!
Got any reference for that? I think stats have change due to populations moving out of the northeast and the evasion of criminals from Mexico has had an impact. But, I don't know if it translates to much of an increase.
