An African-American police officer from Florida has laid bare his heart in a powerful way.
Pundits have been talking non-stop since a new wave of sensationalized stories about so-called trigger happy cops hit the news last week.
Brutal reality hits officer Jay Stalien in the face every single day and he poured out his heart on Facebook in a riveting post.
According to his profile, Stalien works in Riviera Beach, a city that despite its exotic-sounding name, is known for its significant rate of black on black crime.
The post contains piercing words from Stalien and should be read in its entirety

You’ve been here a month and you’re already making a complete ads out of yourself. Congratulations!
Excellent. And stated conversely, isn’t it interesting how Blacks can never, ever, be imbued with the very first atom of responsibility for anything that happens to them? Nothing that ever happens to Blacks is to be considered their fault or their making, good or bad.
If a Black succeeds, a LeBron James or Michael Jordan, it’s white people expropriating their greatness and you’ll NEVER hear the thousands of hours of practice those two and many hundreds like them have put in to develop their skill. Or a Wynton Marsalis or a John Coltrane for that matter.
If a Black fails, if it isn’t the remnant of slavery, it’s because of a lack of economic opportunity or because white people are racist.
If a Black man is arrested, he can never ever be held to a standard where he submits to the police. He has to run. He has to start a physical struggle against obviously very bad odds. He has to reach for his wallet in a threatening or sudden manner. He has to have the better idea, he can’t ask permission to reach for a wallet or other innocent object.
And of course, any Black of relatively ordinary skill or even extraordinary skill is immediately labeled an Uncle Tom.
This is a group of people dedicated beyond anything else in cultivating habits that obviously lead to their own destruction and demise.
The officer used the broken taillight as the justification to confirm or not if the driver was a suspect in some local robberies. The driver fit the description. From that point on it went downhill. I don’t know if it was a legit shoot by the police or if the driver was in the wrong.
That’s the spark for the protests: when there IS a wrongful killing by police, too often the cop gets a paid vacation and goes back to work.
Alas, the protesters refuse to acknowledge that this (albeit serious) problem is much lower on the list of serious problems than a lot of other things their self-identified group can & should do something about first.
Indeed, this: culture, not color.
Bump for a great read, sad but great and truthful.
Save
I’m just saying that the Minnesota man shouldn’t have been shot for the taillight. Give him a ticket.
bttt
No, you don’t know.
What I know is that the reason he is not in jail right now is because there is no evidence that shows that the cop executed him over a taillight.
Because if there was, guess where’d he’d be.
Shot for a tail light? You’re a special kind of stupid.
Why don’t you wait until the evidence has been revealed? What if he had a gun? What if they tried to elude police after an armed robbery? Perhaps they were lawless like Obama?
Prove to me that it was a wrongful killing right now.
If that’s the case, the government needs to tell the protesters to knock it off because the country is at a breaking point.
The government wants the country to break.
That is its purpose and goal.
It is real and sad. The Deceiver, Satan, wants to bring humanity to ruin.
Liberals, Muslims, and BLM are sipping the same demonic kook-aid that will have them in hell forever.
Evil continues to ratchet up and it uses the easily manipulated to achieve it’s goals (Johnson, Omar Mateen, Obama).
I’m glad this guy gets it. I know most other cops do. God Bless Them!
Then if that is the case, vote them out. I am going to find out more info about this Minnesota shooting, regardless of the outcome. The gov’t should be ashamed of themselves.
You cannot have a nice breakfast at home each morning, later descend into the seventh circle of hell, and return home unaffected. Period.
Changed, and may not be for the better.
The writer pens a nice piece, sadly, it will go right over the heads of the intended audience, who won’t bother to read more than a paragraph, and resound with folks who already agree with him. Having said that, thanks for posting it.
Lots of great points.
