The Executive Director of the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association released a strongly worded statement Friday regarding the recent officer-involved shootings.
"First of all, and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent tragic events in Falcon Heights, Dallas and Baton Rouge. The families and friends, the faith communities that provide much needed support to those affected they all need our prayers and support. The nation needs consoling at this time. Governor Daytons extraordinarily presumptive conclusion that the tragic incident in Falcon Heights was motivated by race is the height of political malfeasance that could lead to a miscarriage of justice, if not more violence. There is an active investigation under way. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is beyond reproach in its conduct. Until the facts are completely understood and assembled, our elected officials must instill confidence and reassurance while rejecting incendiary terms that could provoke more violence. Invoking racism without foundation of fact is incendiary.

Dayton undermined all law enforcement in the state with that irresponsible statement of his.
Demonicrat Mark Dayton should apologize and then resign as Minnesota governor. Dayton is a disgrace to the State of Minnesota and the United States of America.
A great example of why its a bad idea to jump to conclusions (as multitudes have) before ALL the facts are in!
:: Governor Daytons extraordinarily presumptive conclusion that the tragic incident in Falcon Heights was motivated by race is the height of political malfeasance ::
An actionable offense that has caused harm.
Will the MP&POA go to court? Or will they wait for the MN AG intone that “no reasonable prosecutor will bring charges”?
Governor Goofy is one of the most moronic people I have ever seen. His statement that this guy would not have been shot had he been white was one of the most idiotic things he has ever said, and that takes some doing to top his other ridiculous comments.
And I thought Jesse Ventura was bad.
Gotta advance the narrative! Facts are irrelevant.
He should be forced to resign, but sadly the people of Minnesota know, when they elected him, that he was a moron.

I totally agree. How utterly irresponsible to make that remark.I think I will let him know in some way.
Civil Servants used to defer to higher authority. Unfortunately, politicians have squandered this natural respect through cheap politicking. Dayton is a perfect example. It is good he is being publicly called out
“Glad to see Governor Dayton has been called out for his reckless irresponsible comment able the Police Officer shooting of Philando Castile being “racist” when NO facts are known yet! “
He’s simply a “White Obama!” He operates in exactly the same way as does Obola, who was just “passing gas” to the assembled media in Warsaw about his “thoughts” about gun control. Again, without any facts he makes judgements.
As with any empty-headed, suit-wearing elected snake, the Governor of the State of Minnesota was possibly hard-pressed between his own brands of paranoia, an information-negligent sound-byte starved media looking to fill the next few seconds with something new to gnaw upon, and his own self-determined obligation to ‘the voters’ as Governor to say ‘something’.
And said ‘something’ he did. In doing so, he stepped with his Minnetonka-made moccassins square upon the burning bad of dog poop.
I believe the jury is still out on the CCW but it does appear the officer had cause to question the fellow.
Police unions have some thinking to do.
Dayton’s words were appalling!
Out comes the extremist talk again: one is 100% right, or 100% wrong.
Could it be we have a mix of evils, and racism is a piece of it.
Other departments have called him out on FB as well.
