The Falcon Heights, Minnesota police shooting of Philando Castile is based around an entirely false narrative. Castile and Ms. Diamond Reynolds (Facebook video uploader) were pulled over by police because Castile matched a BOLO Alert for an armed robbery suspect from four days prior
Good point. But the police officer is the professional. It is the police officer who must be the "wiser" of the two, for the lack of a better word.
79 TRAFFIC OFFENSES?
You kind of act like that’s somehow normal :)
How many were bargained down from something else?
I didn't say it was normal. But, it wasn't disqualifying.
How many were bargained down from something else?
Bargained down from what? These were TRAFFIC offenses.
Do you really think the police would let him plea to "driving without insurance", instead of "grand theft auto"?
Yes.
If the blurry capture frame from the video isn’t fake, then he was shot with a gun in his lap.
No CHP holder draws his gun while looking for his permit.
He didn’t have a permit. No records of it.
Not the police. The courts.
And, yes, I do think the courts are capable of that!

I’m still surprised at how many people here are defending an armed robbery suspect and attacking the police. “He had a CCW permit!!” So? So do I, but I wouldn’t pull a gun on a cop. (Unless I was wanted for armed robbery, maybe)
Maybe someone can do a screen grab?
No felonies All traffic offenses

Key word is “was”.
Effectively zero.
The Star Tribune is reporting that their sources have confirmed that he had a carry permit. Which meant he’d never been convicted of a felony, a misdemeanor crime of violence, domestic assault, or of using illegal drugs.
But he was a wild driver.
I just read the The Star Tribune article and it states a “source” confirmed he has a CCW.
A source? LOL
It sounds like he was mistaken for being someone else, believed to be at fault in a felony, who WAS a Crip.
This, alas, IS one of the hazards of “CCW while black.” It has been shown by psychologists that people do not distinguish others of a different race as well as they do others of their own race.
But at the same time, this should be the basis of advice to his fellows of similar skin to get that blankety blank Frito Lay factory of chips off of their shoulder. Because THEIR reputations are going to rub off on how the Philando Castiles of the world are viewed.
Like a source told us about how Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton met.
According the LEO and the article, Philando Castile was not a robbery suspect. He simply fit a description of a robbery suspect. Big difference.
First of all, if the cop thought he might have been one if the robbers, it changes almost EVERYTHING about the nature of the encounter/actions of those involved. Second, how do YOU know he wasn’t?
Even if he wasn’t the nature of the stop, and Castile’s reaching when ordered not to reach, explains and justifies the cop’s reaction.
How? And nowhere does it conclude that he wasn’t. You’re pulling that out of your safe space.
How do you know he wasn’t one of the robbers? And his own social media port rates himself as a Crip.
