Comey first sentence is a lie, good start
Once again, the first thing out of his mouth is “I am proud.”
That was the first remark, and the last, at his presser.
Wow. No more ‘so help me God’ after the oath. Dear Lord, please come back into our country and help our citizenry care again about TRUTH.
Ignorance is an excuse.
This just plays to Hillary and the Dems.
Mens rea.
1) what did the person do?
2) did they know what they were doing was unlawful? mens rea
Have to prove they knew they were doing something they shouldn’t do
Seems to me Comey is saying Shillery is to dumb to know she was doing wrong.
They live in a reality unbound by simple truth.
I would like to listen to this, but I am so sick of all these people that I will not. I appreciate reading all your comments as you do listen. Thanks.
You are all confused!
“Yes, Congressman, I’m currently enjoying good health and my family is too. We are hoping to enjoy good health for many years to come. Certain facts came to my attention, and led to the conclusion that the stress of an unhealthful prosecution would be too much for my family to endure.”
That African American was a pedophile. Good riddance.
Call me skeptic but this Comey hearing this morning smacks way too much of giving him the chance too refine and rework his remakes at his press conference.
The chance he was given to appear before the RINO committee was offered and acceptance to appear was done at lightening speed should give pause as to the real reason he is there.
His press conference about Hillarys emails was too beneficial for Trump and the RINOS and liberals on the panel and very concerned thus they are just giving Comey a redo.
1917 statute specifying “gross negligence”
DOJ has only used it once in 99 yrs
DOJ has concerns about whether it is appropriate to ..... no reasonable prosecutor would bring the 2nd case in 100 yrs based on “gross negligence”
evidence of “great carelessness” but not mens rea
Since when did the beltway GOP want Trump to win? This is red meat for the base. Winning tbe WH is the last thing on Trump hating Chaffetz’s mind.
No, it's worse than that. He'll point out all the laws Hillary broke and talk freely and willingly about it. Then Gongress won't do jack about it.
IT IS THE BLEEPING LAW, DIRECTOR COMEY!!!!
They need to ask Comey of Hillary broke the law. The issue of recommending an indictment is a separate issue.
Chaffetz seems to be laying groundwork by his questions.
