An Iowa pastor, saying the government needs to stop meddling in religious affairs, is at odds with the state over a law focused on sexual orientation and gender identity that he says hinders his First Amendment right to teach on matters of sexuality.
The state of Iowa is not the self-appointed pope of all churches, Cary Gordon, pastor of Cornerstone World Outreach, a nondenominational church with around 900 members in Sioux City, Iowa, told The Daily Signal.

Especially it’s major metropolitan area - Des Moines...
Like many big (liberal) cities - the rest of the state rots from the “head”.

Yeah, I have a friend who moved to the Des Groin area several years ago (Pella) and he has filled me in on the rot in that capitol.

But the moment the churches relinquish tax exempt status is the moment tithes become non-tax deductible. When that happens, a portion of tithing will drop off. Can't have that, now, can we? I wonder what kind of tax deduction the church got from Caesar back in AD 70.
Maybe they had some other government benefits besides being fed to lions and boiled in oil or crucified.

Iowa was one of the first states to grant marriage licenses to gay. And not on an order from a federal judge.
Get your fact straights. We booted out the local judges who did this.

So you had a state judge rule that your state law was unconstitutional, not a federal judge.
