Probably why sore loser Cruz is withholding his endorsement.
Cruz would be a damn fool to take the nomination after a coup at the convention. If he thinks Trump is a loser against Hillary, the smart play is to man up, endorse Trump and not piss off his supporters, and run again in 2020. Cruz would finish in 3rd place after Trump makes a bid as an independent instantly creating the “America First” party. It would completely shatter the GOP into irrelevance.
He is holding off to use it to get a speaking spot at the convention. He will endorse, and he will speak. Fair trade.
I’d like to see Cruz hold a rally of his supporters. Maybe he could fill a high school auditorium.
