Not sure if that is a valid comparison but that's what I was able to find in a quick search. Of course, all that matters to me is the end result in November. Also, it can be argued that Trump is spending his money much more efficiently. Best I can gather is that Mitt Romney spent $150 million to win the 2012 nomination. Trump apparently spent around 1/3 of that - or $50 million.
I would guess that most of Romney’s money came from big-money donors. Looks like Trump is getting a lot of small donations.
They are only the right path. Trump did mention also in that Turnberry press conference that July would be much more impressive than June.

I don’t think Trump cracked $50 for all the primary campaigns combined. Amazing.
Tells you a lot about the grifters.
I don’t know if you read the snippet above? Most of the money he raised came in the last 10 days when he ramp up. Let’s compare a full month after July is complete. He started slow, there is no doubt though.
He might do better or he might do worse. But we need to compare apples to apples.
I’d have thought the Romney campaign would have spent significantly more than that altogether.
Yes but now that the RNC-GOPe has been exposed as a back-stabbing subsidiary of the DNC and Hitlery Inc., I wouldn't expect the GOP's coffers to come anywhere near it's old numbers.
