Might not be so funny when Trump sues them for royalties on their using his likeness.

Meh. Marvel has been lefty since the 70’s when they had Captain America battling his nemesis Roxxon Oil. In the 80’s they introduced openly gay characters. This is just more of the same.

Sorry...he’s already a DC comics character: Batman.
You know, rich Gotham socialite who dons a mask to take out EvilDoers...that’s Don!
But he doesn’t need the mask. He’s got more guts than that, he’s in their faces.

He might have given that up when he ran for POTUS.

Marvel Turns Donald Trump Into Comic Book Villain (Spiderman Annual #1) During an election? They need to be slapped with a billion dollar fine for attempting to manipulate the electorate.

It’s not like many people are going to read it. Sales figures for Marvel are underwhelming. I understand they are going full Social Justice Warrior with a revamp of their line this fall, so these numbers will probably seem like “the good old days” a year from now.

“..In Spider-Gwen Annual #1 which centers on an alternate universe ..”
Well, I see they’re at least staying consistent.
A universe were Trump is the arch-villain, rather than Obama, truly is an alternate universe.

Might not be so funny when Trump sues them for royalties on their using his likeness. Trump can't. He's a public figure now.
