If U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has his way the United Nations will be able to say if Americans are allowed to have their Second Amendment rights. He signed an anti-gun treaty with the United Nations that the U.S. Senate has already said it is against.
The treaty Kerry signed without authorization from the Senate would create an un-Constitutional registry of all US gun buyers and would lead to the UN controlling American's gun rights.
Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday signed a controversial U.N. treaty on arms regulation, riling U.S. lawmakers who vow the Senate will not ratify the agreement.
As he signed the document, Kerry called the treaty a "significant step" in addressing illegal gun sales, while claiming it would also protect gun rights.
"This is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors. This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world's worst crimes. This is about keeping Americans safe and keeping America strong," he said. "This treaty will not diminish anyone's freedom. In fact, the treaty recognizes the freedom of both individuals and states to obtain, possess, and use arms for legitimate purposes." when guns are outlawed2 U.S. lawmakers, though, have long claimed the treaty could lead to new gun control measures. They note the U.S. Senate has final say on whether to approve the agreement.
Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., in a letter to President Obama, urged his administration not to take any action to implement the treaty without the consent of the Senate.
He claimed the treaty raises fundamental issues concerning "individual rights protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution."
The National Rifle Association blasted the plan, claiming it would impose an "invasive registration scheme" by requiring importing countries to give exporting countries information on "end users."
"The Obama administration is once again demonstrating its contempt for our fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms," Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, said in a statement. "These are blatant attacks on the constitutional rights and liberties of every law-abiding American. The NRA will continue to fight this assault on our fundamental freedom."
Once again Obama's regime tries to end the Second Amendment by stealth.

I was sorely tempted to type - mispell
Cam Rhan Bay was very safe, It was on the coast just south of Nha Trang. This is where most Army types flew home from after their tour. It was also the place where wounded who had been treated at evac hospitals for gunshot wounds and others were taken after they were operated on and out of danger. The guys taken here were going to hospitals in Japan, US, or other Pacific field hospitals. I kid you not this place was so peaceful that a purple heart here on a regular day ( no Tet or other holiday ) is perhaps the biggest lie ever told from Vietnam.
Just met a Nam pilot who told me he saved a lot of Marines. Med Evac.
Don’t you have home movies of yourself in Nam like kerry?
What a load of crap that was.
Home movies? Unreal. We were not allowed to have a camera on OPS or outside our main HQ unless given a Pen EE by the S-3 for that OP. On occasion our recon teams were also given a Pen EE for a specific OP. The only pictures I have of myself are one taken as a joke by a friend when I came back for the night plus one was taken of me by my company’s sign. I had a photo of an elephant taken that I took with the Pen EE when we ran into an old yard riding it the night before we took a bunker complex as planned. I doubt I had 8-9 total pictures from RVN. Only one did not get torn up or pilfered.
Are you sure you fought in the same war? I don’t know, did you throw your medals over the fence too? Oh wait those weren’t his. Maybe he realized his three purple hearts were bs and that’s why he tossed them.
No, I did not trash awards. I only got one in country as the others were sent to FT Bragg in mid-late 69. I was on a medivac plane home from Tokyo to Andrews AFB.
Again, thank you for your service and enjoy your 4th.
I’ll probably watch Patton and the Patriot.
< ... the U.S. Senate has already said it is against.
I guess that makes his signature null and void.
From Øbama on down, this regime is as crooked as anything Al Capone and his cronies could have dreamed up.
