U.S. intelligence agencies are said to be closely watching Russian online blogs and other postings for any signs that Moscow hackers have covertly obtained the bulk of Hillary Clinton’s email messages stolen from her private email server and are preparing to make them public. A U.S. intelligence official told Inside the Ring that the indications of the email release are being closely watched, although the veracity of at least two postings on the matter could not be confirmed as authoritative.
A State Department official has said Russia is one of at least three foreign governments likely to have obtained the full content of the former secretary of state’s server through covert hacking operations. The other two are China and Israel.
Russian intelligence agencies are suspected of cyberintrusions that obtained sensitive political information contained in Democratic National Committee networks. Last week, reports surfaced that computer networks of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation were also compromised, also by Russian hackers.
Russian intelligence is considered to be the most capable nation-state cyberespionage and cyberwarfare power, and its intelligence-gathering operations in the U.S. are said to be going at Cold War levels.

What use would they be if she gets elected? She will be protected by the press, a complicit Congress and a supreme Court that is packed with her appointees.
Russia benefits from a Trump Presidency. Syria and Iran are historically Russian client states. Libya and Afghanistan were also. Trump has promised to reduce our presence in the middle east. He is also talked about the same in the Orient as well as NATO. All of these actions benefit Russia.
Why did Russian intelligence hack the DNC?
The emails will be released when they will cause the most damage. Probably after the convention when Hillary officially becomes the nominee. If they take her out before, the Dems will have a better chance to replace her.

Me, I wouldn’t want to deal with someone like that. I’d rather deal with a rational, cool, calculating person who is doing the same for his country that I’m doing for mine. There is definitely common ground between our nations - frankly, we should be natural allies, with only the ideology of Lenin, et al preventing that during most of the 20th Century - and so long as we both stay on our side of a reasonably agreed to line, there won’t be any big problems.
If’n I were Putin, I’d release ALL of this stuff, probably in the middle of October. I’d also indicate that it was easy to obtain, and that “we made good use of it.”

I really don’t think it will be that effective. The MSM will spin the release of this info as something sinister and fabricated. They can claim the Russians tampered with the emails or created them out of thin air. They will claim that it is an attempt by our enemy to prevent a strong leader like Hillary from becoming President. Never underestimate the power of MSM.
I don't think we necessarily have to rely on Russian or Chinese hacking. That's all just for news cycle consumption.
What is not in the news is that Israelis probably have these eMails by way of their own sleuthing capabilities, and they know how to "leak" stuff strategically like everyone else.
They want Trump not Hillary. They'll do their part to make Trump happen.
If the Russians have it the Israelis have it too. In the end we may be surprised to learn just how many different countries have them.

Ah Badger, timing is everything. My guess? Not until the DNC Convention is over. If you are going to Screw the DNC, the Clinton's and by extension the Obama's why not do it when they think they have the brass ring and you take it away from them, to the Ruskie's can have a moment of schadenfreude.
IMHO my guess is Putin wants Trump so they can tag team and wipe out ISIS and any other like minded groups as Putin sees them as an internal treat given Russia's history of trying to push back it's internal Islamic radicals...
