HAMDEN — According to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, the race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is too close to call.

Clinton, who is expected to be the Democratic nominee, has 42 percent to the presumptive GOP candidate Donald Trump‘s 40 percent. Pollsters said the results were within the margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.

Clinton had a 45 to 41 percent lead at the beginning of June.

the internals of this poll make you want to puke and realize just how pathetically stupid our electorate is. Hillary leads on immigration and foreign policy..which I find astounding

Nobody switched their votes because of what Trump said about some judge. Despite how the media tries to play it, people do not sit around flip flopping their vote over every minor utterance by a candidate.

Minds are made up. About 40-45 percent are for the Democrat no matter what.

No matter what.

Close to a similar percentage are for the Republican no matter what.

No matter what.

Most of the rest have made up their minds as well. Some of those might vote for neither the Democrat or Republican. We will not know until November the result.

Another important factor is turnout. Who will be motivated to get to the polls and who will shrug and stay home. But they will be rooting for one candidate or the other and by now they have already decided.

We are a very polarized nation. Most Democrats would never vote for a Republican and vice versa.

Blacks 91 to 1 for Clinton in this poll. Trump will get better than 10. It seems like certain segments of the population don’t want to admit to pollsters that they intend to vote Trump, not just among blacks.

But...but....The media told us she’s ahead by 10 points!!

Did you believe that poll? If not, then there's no reason to believe this one.

It's a very fluid race at this point with a lot of undecideds and/or lukewarm supporters of each candidate.

More meaningless national polls. State polling...

There's another factor. There are sub-populations that overwhelming support Mr. Trump and will will get out and vote. No general poll will catch how they skew the vote. Coal miners and the military are two such examples.

So the polls tell us Clinton is ahead by 13 points. Or 10 points. Or 2 points. Or not at all.

The polls tell us the polls are nothing but click bait by the MSM.

Maybe I’m wrong, but in the picture, it looks like Squaw Warren talked Ma Barker into doing a rain dance.

“This is just code for the left is losing but doesn’t want to talk about it.”

It could also indicate that voter and election fraud will indeed be factors in their attempt(s) to get Hillary Clinton ‘elected’.
