Members of the "Free the Delegates" movement are expected to file separate lawsuits in Arizona and Virginia on Friday, challenging the constitutional restraints on binding delegates to a candidate at next month's Republican National Convention.
A source familiar with the forthcoming court filings claimed that some individuals seeking to unbind all 2,472 delegates in Cleveland next month are being intimidated by state-level GOP officials. In some cases, the source said, party leaders have threatened to revoke delegates' credentials to the national convention.
Regina Thomson, who serves as executive director of Free the Delegates, could not be reached for further details. Earlier this week, the group claimed to have more than 300 delegates committed to their effort.

they should have to use their personal wallets for this lawsuit
who is paying the lawyers for this crap?
How dare these people have to vote as the voters directed. Party aparachics should be free to choose.
To these clowns the votes of the people mean nothing. The rules that they were elected under mean nothing. I still wonder where Ted Cruz fits in all this. The only comment I have heard from him in the last few weeks has a backhanded comment about Trump.
All the GOP has to do is revoke their credentials permanently and tell them to vote Democrat if they don’t like it.
This is not a general election. The Republican Party has a right to formulate rules, and run their nomination process by them.
This is not a violation of any guarantees of personal choice on behalf of the delegates. They are bound by the rules. The public has spoken.
When the general election comes around, all these people can vote as they choose.
This is so juvenile, it’s pathetic.
Private political party. They have no justiciable issue . These suits will be thrown out sua sponte.
I have never, EVER, seen the GOP fight so hard against a candidate...shameful. No down ballot votes for the GOP! They must lose, period. If you can’t get behind that, you’re just as much a traitor as these ignorant wretches are.
I bet that, if you dug deep enough, you'd find he's involved.
Names, we want ALL of their names !
Up to the top of his head.
Right you are !
I have already wondered that and hoping it isn’t true but we both know it is...
It’s either Trump to save America
or
It’s Hillary to destroy America
It has to be up to the voters...my vote, my only vote is only for Trump, if he doesn’t get to the Oval Office, I will NEVER vote again nor will I represent a party to this Country again...
They’re taking this route because it won’t be hard to find a judge who hates Trump and will rule for them.
Reince & RNC could stop this crap if they wanted.
They really do need to look up "delegate" in the dictionary. Honor the voters they represent, or stay home.
If Trump won the state primaries and then announced that his entire campaign was a lie, and that Bernie would be his VP, that would be justification for the delegates to oppose the will of the voters. To do so when Trump has clearly continued to be the same man voters chose is reprehensible. Anyone challenging the requirement to vote as bound should have their credentials revoked and be replaced by delegates chosen by the Trump team. [Hopefully, Trump would then finally pay attention to delegate selection.]
Note: I have been saying for four months now that Trump should pay more attention to the selection of delegates and to schmoozing his delegates, and I stand by that statement. Delegates who are loyal to Trump should be rewarded with attention, and those who are not inherently loyal should be courted, pampered, and convinced to become loyal.
I understand your feelings and I also back Trump, but just how does vowing to never vote again or represent a political party accomplish a thing? The political elite do not look to the people for their existence and they are just as happy to have fewer people voting.
If there is more to your plans that you don’t feel comfortable explicating in public, I understand.
who is paying the lawyers for this crap?
Romney/Jeb!/PaulRYNO/cRuzPACs?
