—by golly, with precision such as that , why don’t they tell us how many are going to die next year—??

This is series. They definitely should stop using fossil fuels in NYC....no natural gas, no oil, no gasoline, no coal-generated electricity. Solar and wind for power and bicycles for transportation. Show us how, Yankees.

Above 90 degrees and New Yorkers die? Pussies.

I’ll be 114 then, so I probably don’t GAF right now....or then.

60 years from now! LOL! They can’t predict the weather with a 50% accuracy from one day to the next, yet they want us to believe they can predict 60 years into the future. Again, LOL!

Oh, I definitely believe this. We are talking about 2076, so we will have the Atlantic 2 feet higher, that will black-out much of NYC and without A/C it will return to ‘normal’ like it was in the early 1900s. Without being too crass, if gramma was hot before she passed, you can bet they add her to the stats.

This is betting on something you won’t live to see but you want ‘research funds’ NOW!

Whoever made up those stats never lived through a NYC summer when there wasn't any airconditioning at all and also no fans! LOL

NYC has ALWAYS been very hot, in the summer; yet few people died from the heat, in times gone by.

Well, they have 60 years to move away. It’s nice to have a little bit of notice like that.

I thought NYC was supposed to be under water about 6 months ago... according to Al Gore, the Global Warming guru.

beginning about 60 years from now

one of the main characteristics of conspiracy theories is, they get gas about 50 years after the event. Witnesses are dead, memories are weak. The above claim is a reversal of a conspiracy theory, supposing something will happen 2 generations from now. Witnesses aren't even born yet and most readers alive now will be dead or close to it 60 years from now. But I guess some people will believe it.

In twenty-five years, we’ll all have a Mr. Fusion.

Of course, we were going to get Mr. Fusion in twenty-five years back in 1985.

Let me get this straight:

Taking for granted the global warming nonsense it true...NYC will become as hot as Florida.

And New Yorkers will die!!!

People from NY retire and move to Florida...and don’t die from the heat. I think they’ll be fine.

Studies that try to link local climate with global climate change are cashing in on hype, not science.

The global average temp drifts up and down over the centuries and nobody actually experiences this average. It can only be estimated by having multiple measurements around the globe and then guesstimating for variables you can't control like the fact you don't have complete coverage, and the coverage you have could be skewed. Temps that are actually experienced by people and animals and plants are glaciers and creek beds and such are all local.
