Nevertheless, the real outrage is the subject of the article. Birmingham city councilwoman, Sheila Tyson, is about the stupidest person I have ever observed. She makes Georgia Congressman, Hank Johnson (Guam may capsize) look like a Rhodes Scholar. She's probably a perfect reflection of her constituents, though. This video is a must watch: "Dead is Dead" The stupid is absolutely breathtaking. She probably thinks "Holocaust" is the name of a cemetery, where elderly Jews who died of old age, are buried.

I don’t know anything about this project, but do want to plug the US Holocaust Museum in Washington. Not the most upbeat way to spend vacation time, but I guarantee you will come away feeling it was time well spent.

The city should chip in to build a memorial to all of the holocaust victims killed in the concentration camps there.
If the gays and gypsies and communists want a memorial to folks killed on another continent, let them pay for it themselves.
I wonder why we should have Holocaust Museums in the United States? Does Germany have Wounded Knee museums? WWII Japanese interment museums? Get the point?
I think of when I visited Dachau, but to be frank, I don’t think dragging her ass through the camp would make much of a difference...I don’t think anything would make a dent in this fat b*tch*s brain until you slammed the shower doors shut on her yard-wide rear end and dropped the pellets.

Watch the Band of Brothers episode “Why We Fight” and maybe you’ll begin to understand the impact of the Holocaust on the U.S. and in particular on the soldiers who liberated the camps.

I got the point as soon as I started to read the article. I looked it up and found a list of forty-nine Holocaust memorials and museums in the U.S. Did you know there wasn’t even a memorial in Washinton D.C. to our own World War II veterans until the early 2000s?
The war has been over for 71 years. Most of our veterans are gone. Nearly all of the Holocaust survivors are gone. Unless this project has some particular meaning to Birmingham, I’d go with fixing up a run-down cemetery that is actually a part of the city’s history.
Unless the state is going to run it let the private backers come up with money.
