In May, Morning Consult polled people with an unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton about why they didn’t like her. Fifty-eight percent said she was too liberal, while 22 percent said she was too conservative. But 82 percent of Hillary-averse voters said she was corrupt, and 88 percent said she was untrustworthy. These are the beliefs that unite her foes across the political spectrum. It’s why Trump, with his devious talent for derisive nicknames, was smart to dub her “Crooked Hillary.”
Some of the examples Trump chose to reinforce this caricature are true. Describing Clinton as “a world-class liar,” he said, “Just look at her pathetic email and server statements, or her phony landing in Bosnia where she said she was under attack but the attack turned out to be young girls handing her flowers, a total self-serving lie. Brian Williams’ career was destroyed for saying far less.” One could quibble about whose exaggerations have been greater, but Clinton’s Bosnia tale really was mostly made up, and it will likely haunt her throughout the campaign.
Trump is clearly hoping to reach working-class whites in places like Ohio, where a recent poll shows him tied with Clinton. “We’ll never be able to fix a rigged system by counting on the same people who rigged it in the first place,” he said. “The insiders wrote the rules of the game to keep themselves in power, and in the money. That’s why we’re asking Bernie Sanders’ voters to join our movement, so together we can fix the system for all Americans. This includes fixing all of our many disastrous trade deals. Because it’s not just the political system that’s rigged. It’s the whole economy.”

I was able to tune in live for the last 40 minutes. There were a couple of different streams. The one I watched on You Tube had over 30k viewers and the number kept climbing the entire time I watched. Can’t recall, but it may have reached 38k by the time he finished. The live chat was very active. I finally disabled it because the constant rapid scroll in my peripheral vision was distracting. It was 99% pro-Trump, enthused, all caps, etc.

This may not reach those dependent on sitting in front of a TV screen, but there are less and less of them, they are mostly older people stuck at home at 9:30 am CDT on a workday. The under-40s are watching on phones and tablets.

I shall have to take issue with you on this. The “Clinton Cash” book has not been debunked. It is actually well researched and footnoted.
Crooked Hillary has no rebuttal. Trump is slowly and surely pinning her into a corner.

He’s been getting a lot of undeserved grief on the thread.
Trump has dictated the narrative of this election from the day he announced. Americanism and Greatness or Globalism and Corruption.
Neither Hillary, the democrats, the media or anyone else is going to be able to change the narrative. They can try all they want to try to make Orlando about gun control and what not but the electorate has had enough.
Trump will remain singularly on message while Hillary keeps just feeding spin with the media attempting to prop her up.

The Clintonistas want to make America into Venezuela. 8 years of the Obamanation and we are well on the way. TRUMP is our last best hope to arrest and reverse this process.
Back during the Reagan years I never would have imagined we could look forward to dealing with 8 years of a Bill Clinton and 8 years of an Obamanation (not to mention 12 years of Bushisms, bad enough). It really is incredible how little a lot of people learned from the Reagan Era. Heaven forbid we should try to endure the Reign of Shrillary.
If there were anything debunked in that ‘Clinton Cash’ book, it would have been a top of the fold headline story that never goes away.

And I agree that Trump is not, in many ways, very conservative. But it sure looks like he will take the gloves off, and that is enough for me at this time.

When RATS say something has been “debunked” it generally means that they overheard someone at the local bar complain about how “it can’t possibly be true” between bourbon shots.
Words to them don’t really have a meaning that we can pin down ... they mean whatever they want them to mean at that particular time...
Why don’t you give us the most damning misstatement from the book to look at? I’ll bet that if anything has been disproved it’s something minor such as quoting a $25,000,000.00 gift from some saudi prince instead of the correct amount of “$25M and a Diamond encrusted Gold bracelet”...
I don’t know of anything that has been debunked, but Slate was attempting to debunk the uranium deal based on the word “veto”. A lame attempt.
