DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA The United States Supreme Court declined on Monday to review a lower courts ruling refusing to strike down on Second Amendment grounds Connecticuts ban on certain semi-automatic firearms including the most popular rifles in the Nation. The Connecticut Citizens Defense League (CCDL) and other plaintiffs challenged Connecticuts ban in 2013, arguing that the ban openly flouts the Supreme Courts landmark decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, which held that law-abiding citizens have an individual right to keep commonly owned firearms in their homes for self-defense.

God help America. We need an Anton Scalia more than ever.
What ever happened to him?
What ever happened to him?
Concealed means Concealed.
I’ll carry as I wish.
To get a decent USSC Justice we need to elect Donald Trump and not “stand on principle” and allow Hillary to become President.
You’re not serious??????
assassinated.
Seriously, I heard he was not on the Supreme Court anymore.
you are 100% right!
Wow. Was it a gun shot? What did the autopsy show?
He died.....
He was murdered by the Democrats. Died under unusual circumstances, whisked away without investigation of autopsy, cremated, end of story. Move on nothing to see here.
LOL!
Nice graphic. Kind of what I was thinking about when I saw the question.
No autopsy, the cause of death was determined without examining the body... it was literally phoned in.
New York has a similar ban. Possibly other states. Could it be the Supreme Court is waiting for the case against the state law they can uphold. In other words, if say CT’s law is more restrictive than New York, they’ll wait for the case against New York’s law if it’s easier to uphold?
Just speculation.
I don’t know if there is a CT FReeper ping list, so I just C&P the state list
Hope you don’t mind; if you do....sorry.
I apologize to be the bearer of more bad news.
We NEED to get everybody out to vote in November and right this sinking ship.
Pray for America.
Pray for Connecticut...the *Constitution State*.
As long as we're into speculating, I'll throw mine out there. I think the 8 remaining justices are waiting to be made whole with a ninth justice so they won't have any 4-4 decisions. There's a large difference between not taking a case and an actual decision with a tie vote. In the meantime, they've chosen to just work the cases where a true decision can be made while the politicians work on getting that 9th justice.
Cert was denied because they are waiting for the Trump court to form.
A Supreme Court Justice dies and they don't do an autopsy? You are pulling my leg.
