While not entirely unexpected, this is what we might refer to as a wake-up call. As reported by the Washington Examiner over the weekend, sources close to conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas say that hes looking at announcing his retirement after the elections this November.
Justice Clarence Thomas, a reliable conservative vote on the Supreme Court, is mulling retirement after the presidential election, according to court watchers.

The choice could not be more clear America.
Elect Hillary and the country disappears forever down a Socialist black hole.
If Hillary wins things may escalate quickly. A sure-fire way to identify the “dangerous terrorists” will be to rapidly progress to transactions involving embedded chip technology, all in the name of “scientific advancement.”
No chip? No gun sale. Easy peasy with a liberal SC.
Brutus, Anti-Federalist XI, 31 January 1788 http://www.constitution.org/afp/brutus11.htm
Federalists.
Scalia and Thomas were the first federalists, but back in those days the dems thought that the Federalist Society was merely a debating society.
But by the time Dubya took office, the dems perceived the Federalist Society to be the cornerstone of the VRWC and they created the Constitution Society as an offset.
They would try to block any Bush appointee who was a member of the Federalist Society like Ashcroft and Alito and anyone that they thought was a stealth federalist with a federalist paper trail like Roberts, Janice Brown, and Alberto Gonzales
I don’t think they have to go that high tech.
They have access to all the voting rolls.
They can identify the “dangerous” ones by who voted for who to control all kinds of things.
No guns, no access to medicine, no passports, no govt benefits and on and on.
I wouldn’t put any of this past Hillary or any of her fellow travelers.
Hopefully there can be a Constitution convention and fix the problem, so it doesn’t matter who wins.
There. Full agreement fix applied.
Thought the same in the prior election. Alas, I was wrong. The public in general has as much forethought as a flea. Few realize that once the country is lost, it is lost forever. They see only what they wish to see, their Utopia; not the road map they use to get them there.
Justice Thomas deserves the opportunity to enjoy his retirement. Seems like only yesterday we were fighting to allow him to be seated. Have so many years passed so quickly? God’s speed to Clarence Thomas. A wise man who most definitely will be missed.
A lost country can be found again. Time to take America back!
Yes. I’ve been suggesting that for a long while now.
Everybody still wanting the Clintoons to pick the next three “judges”? One will be Obonzo for sure.
I have seen lots of other articles saying there is no truth to this.
It seems obvious that is just what he has in mind. I hope to he!! I’m right.
One more reason Trump must win. Not entirely comfortable with Trumps possible picks, but I am totally uncomfortable with ANYONE Hillary might pick.
I sure hope so. Maybe I’m just listening to the media, and am also down because of the continued efforts of the Never Trump idiots to change the rules at the convention.
Now that Trump has started to shake up his campaign a bit, I suspect that we’re going to see big - and positive - changes. Hillary really is a very weak candidate, and all that Trump has to do is what Reagan has already done: dispel the worst fears of the electorate about him being a loose cannon. He’s not, but he doesn’t operate at a snail’s pace like most pols do. I’m beginning to become more optimistic again. Anyway, through all of the last couple of weeks, he’s only down a few points in key swing states...and I have my doubts about those polls.
I have some ocean front property in Wyoming you can buy cheap after Trump wins...
