The U.S. Supreme Court may weigh in this week on gun control, an issue smoldering again following the June 12 Orlando massacre, with the justices due to decide whether to hear a challenge by gun rights advocates to assault weapon bans in two states.
The Connecticut and New York laws prohibit semiautomatic weapons like the one used by the gunman who fatally shot 49 people at a gay night club in Orlando in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
The Supreme Court will announce as soon as Monday whether it will hear the challenge brought by gun rights groups and individual firearms owners asserting that the laws violate the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment guarantee of the right to bear arms.

They may not be standard issue but I am pretty sure I have seen them demonstrated shooting through a standard cement block wall. The whole issue was cheap easy to carry lot of rounds but sufficient destructive power to do the job. Remember how cheap drones were until we started making them?
Then look on YouTube to see some modified 22 rifles firing Full Auto.
I don't think there is a single auto loader that can't be made full auto, in fact troops used to be shown how to modify the M1 Carbine to full auto, at least I certainly was. Life sucks when they keep changing stuff.
The Generals resisted the lever action rifle originally because the troops could burn through their ammunition too quickly. Notice they modified the current rifles to have a three round burst mode.
Notice in almost every cop show on TV the bad guy has ARs or AKs running full auto hitting nothing, then along comes the cop with a Glock or Sig taking them out. A typical fire fight in a cop show has the bad guys burning off a couple cases of ammo, sometime without reloading. Until the bad ass female, usually a 105 pound girl comes out and downs most of the machine gunners with single hand gun shots, then takes out a couple 240 pound 6 ft bad guys with her amazing hand to hand combat skills. Now there is reality for you, ask any kid.
True story. I was working in CA for a big liberal, and he heRd me on the phone going off on someone about something. He said that it worries him that people with a temper like me own guns. I quickly ‘relied that he shouldn’t worry because the only time I ever tried to kill someone I didn’t use my gun, I used my car (truth). The look on his face was priceless.
I probably shouldn’t have said ‘none’. You know how many times I am right when I post ‘none’?
None.
Aw hell. Did it again.
Thank you! Amazing how that’s been normalized in liberal language, eh?
Not so sure about that. If they agree to hear it now, the actual proceeding will not be for quite a while. They may have a 9th judge by then.
And, Heller is precedent. Even the libs on the court agree with that. maintaining precedent is very important, even for libs and decisions they don't like.
St. Valentine's day massacre: from Google: Fourmen dressed as police officers enter gangster Bugs Moran's headquarters on North Clark Street in Chicago, line seven of Moran's henchmen against a wall, and shoot them to death. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre, as it is now called, was the culmination of a gang war between arch rivals Al Capone and Bugs Moran.
THREE THOUSAND AMERICANS were killed on 09/11! THREE THOUSAND!
HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU COMPARE the deaths of SEVEN hoodlums at the St. Valentine's massacre shootout to the deaths of THREE THOUSAND INNOCENT Americans?
You MUST not know ANY history.
Did you go to public school?
He must not know about "righteous" anger...as in when Jesus took a whip to the money changers who were NOT making God's house a house of prayer.
Perhaps the liberal didn't even own a Bible.
Besides, you were talking, not shooting.
Democracy: Two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Republic: A democracy where two hundred wolves and one hundred lambs elect two wolves and one lamb as their representatives to vote on what to have for lunch.
Constitutional Republic: A republic with a Constitution guaranteeing that lamb is not on the lunch menu. Eventually, the Supreme Court rules—5 wolves to four lambs—that mutton is not the same as lamb.
Just took that from an Article about the German Rifle. The Germans were able to field less Men but had more Firepower available to them than our guys had.
They even mentioned that having more advanced Rifles helped the Germans against the Americans in the Battle of the Bulge, until Patton’s Third Army arrived.
Constitution trumps stupid decisions of supreme Court. If the constitution is irrelevant now, so are they. What good are they?
Correct. So we actually want SCOTUS to take the case to clear up the conflicting lower court rulings across the many states.
1. Yes, it does, whether the Supreme Court likes it or not.
2. The Supreme Court Justices are pawns of their party. They always have been and always will be. They are only worth that...and there are DARN few cases these days where constitutionality comes into play.

Try to be rational for just a few moments. Read the definition of massacre below. See that it applies to the wanton murder of helpless or unresisting people. Understand that the word does not only apply to what happened on 9/11. There were massacres before 9/11 and after. Saying that another incident was a massacre does not mean that 9/11 was not a massacre. Just because 9/11 was a bigger massacre does not mean that smaller slaughters like St. Valentie’s day and Orlando were not also massacres and it does not take anything away from what happened on 9/11. From your irrational response to anyone using the term massacre, it appears that you think the word should be retired until an incident bigger than 9/11 happens. You are free to make such a ridiculous proposal if you like, but you dont have to be an obnoxious jack@ss while doing it.
Definition of massacre
1: the act or an instance of killing a number of usually helpless or unresisting human beings under circumstances of atrocity or cruelty
2: a cruel or wanton murder
“3000 versus 49...I guess I went with the larger amount as worse. Silly me.”
Where did ANYONE say or imply it wasnt worse? You went BS crazy because someone used the term massacre that wasnt related to 9/11. Silly you? Silly is not the word I would use.
Well EXCUUUUSE me for remembering the very WORST catastrophe in this country since the Civil War. So sorry for NOT WEEPING for those 49 souls killed.
911/3000 Americans killed MASSACRE
This past week: 49 people killed in a shooting spree MASSACRE
There, is that better?
Pax vobis.
“Well EXCUUUUSE me for remembering the very WORST catastrophe in this country since the Civil War. So sorry for NOT WEEPING for those 49 souls killed.”
Intelligent converse is impossible. You do not discuss, you jibber.
"jibber": YOU would know all about THAT, since YOU brought it up.
Pax vobis.
"converse" is a verb, not a noun. The word you should have used was "conversation." I guess you learned your GRAMMAR in public school.
It's also a tennis shoe. Lol. Are you looking for an intelligent tennis shoe? Hahaha. Thanks. I needed the laugh.
