Author and political analyst Dick Morris told Newsmax TV Friday House Speaker Paul Ryan would not have the grounds to sue Donald Trump over his Muslim immigration ban if he becomes president.
"President Trump would have the authority to do that because the admission of refugees from these countries is a unilateral U.S. presidential decision, not a congressional mandate," Morris, referring to Trump's proposal to temporarily stop Muslims from immigrating to the United States, told Steve Malzberg. "All these attacks on him for being tough on Muslim immigration and terrorism are great for him," Morris said.
Morris referenced a Pew Research Center study, the results of which he included in his book, that found many Muslims support suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilians to defend Islam. Morris said a combined 19 percent of Muslims said those actions are rarely, sometimes, or often justified.
"Nineteen percent of 3 million people is 600,000 people. There are 3 million Muslims in the U.S. Can you imagine that?" Morris said. "And it shows that Trump's point is essentially valid, which is that you cannot vet these folks because they don't have vetting facilities in these countries."

As president Trump can stop refugees and immigration from terrorist affiliated countries but not every Muslim coming into the country based only on their religion.
