The co-owner of a Florida gun store says his employees contacted law enforcement before the Orlando shooting after gunman Omar Mateen attempted to purchase body armor and ammunition.
Robbie Abell, co-owner of Lotus Gunworks, said Thursday his workers had a gut feeling about Mateen when he came to the store four or five weeks ago.

It’s feeling like there was more than the basic “don’t investigate because he is a muslim.” I think the dad’s personal ties to the White House put this kid on a no touch list.

Even if one is inclined to go along with no guns while on the no fly list legislation, if THIS SOB wasn’t on the list, it’s useless anyway.
Should have contacted the State version of FBI. They are the first line and might have been more responsive. I know our TBI in Tennessee is very pro active. And we are a open carry state.
With a record of domestic abuse he should not have been allowed a gun purchase much less all the other stuff we’ve dug up.

Not everything is provable; that does not mean that we do not act on beliefs about reality that we cannot prove, or that we should not tell others of our beliefs.
I have talked to several people who are involved in intelligence gathering operations who have told me that the intelligence services have stopped numerous attacks. I know that sting operations have been used to arrest and convict people who tried to contact Islamic radical groups.
I cannot prove that the NSA was involved; they are very close mouthed about such things, for good reasons. But experience and logic imply that they were involved in the intelligence gathering that was used to stop these events.
