The father of suspected Orlando gunman Omar Mateen says his son was not driven by religious ideology, but did grow upset after seeing two gay men kissing in Miami a few months ago....
He says his son got “very angry” when he saw two men kissing in downtown Miami a couple of months ago, and believes that was part of his son’s motive....

The man’s “value system” told him to kill gays. That value system is islam. The sight of two men kissing was the trigger, the provocation.

If this son of Afghan immigrants had not been raised a Muslim, and thus indoctrinated in a totalitarian ideology that vehemently preaches that homoerotic persons be condemned to violent death, would he have become “very angry” after seeing two men kiss to the point of planning and executing mass murder of homoerotic persons?
As a Christian, I have no desire to see two men engage in erotic behavior, but if I were to witness it, it would not make me “very angry” - much less “very angry” to the point of any inclination toward violence.
