Yeah, and some “black former DC detective” just told Bret Baer that an AR-15 is capable of firing 100 rounds in 9 seconds! An M-16 might be capable of that kind of firing rate, but with a 30 round mag in an AR-15, it will take a lot longer than 9 seconds to pull the trigger 30 times. They are always looking to make a good semi-automatic rifle the bad guy. Put a wood stock on it and voila, it becomes a “good gun.”

Firearm licenses issued-—wouldn’t a specific person need to sign off on that? Can we find out who? And could that person be linked to a chain of command, coming from the top?
This is too convenient—”assault rifles” plus “evil gun dealers” all bundled up with an Islamic jihadist—a bone thrown in to win over the undecided, —goes and slaughters 50 of Obama’s favorite victims. Now those evil sellers of evil assault weapons have done pissed off the Won! Those gun dealers are LEGALLY killing his friends! Time to change the law and shut them down.
I find it interesting that 1. Mateen was known by authorities for at least 3 years to have jihadist sympathies but was issued these guns and licences. Jihadists actively seek martyrdom. They want to die—which makes it easy for his handlers to arrange that. Did this guy realize he’d been handled, and try to back out? That would explain the hostages. He changed his mind and wanted to be taken alive. Uh oh.

4. Nobody even seems to be paying attention to the ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN —which will ban the possession, import, manufacture and sale of EVERY type of gun except single shot hunting rifles. I just heard an “expert” consultant on one of the networks ( I’m clicking around) explain that just because the guy had ISIS connections did not mean that he did not hold “conservative” beliefs, such as anti-gay, etc. I kid you not.

He had a Class D and a class G license (must be renewed every 2 years. So he was on the radar, but got a G and D and renewed them since being on radar. Gun Laws did nothing in this attack except to insure that he was the only person with a firearm. I would think the management of this place would WANT a few people to bring their weapons, though it would be helpful for them to know who. At my church we have CC folks present and make sure the usher crew knows who they are, in case of indications of possible trouble, so they can be alerted..

No, I don’t either, but having a CCW permit in most states makes you a “target” for any cop who doesn’t respect the 2A, there are a lot of them, and the “political leaders” who pay them to harass people who observe the 2A! All I’m saying is that as I read the 2A, it’s none of their business. Anyway, it isn’t about their “safety,” it’s about mine! They don’t care about anything but their “safety” as evidenced by this disaster in Orlando this morning. That they waited THREE EFFING HOURS before going into that night club “because of their safety,” tells you all you need to know about our cops today. I can’t imagine these men in the military. They would seemingly wait to go to the aid of a comrade in arms. It’s simply shameful. From my read, it was better to have 50 people dead and 53 shot to hell, rather than risk any of them getting shot! And just look at all the attention being paid to the cop who took a round in his Kevlar helmet! At least he had one, which is more than those poor people had in that night club!
