Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed a medical marijuana legalization bill into law on Wednesday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
The former Republican presidential candidate's penmanship makes Ohio the 26th state in the nation to legalize marijuana use for medical purposes.

You know damn well what I meant when I said Drugs. No, it wasn’t an asprin I was referring to. I would call that medicine. But if somebody is smoking a joint for ‘pain’, or shooting up heroin for ‘depression’, that loser would be doing drugs. Stop playing word games.
Gark, that would suck, but the pain just makes me cranky and unproductive.
No, outright legalization does that. The medical firewall creates money for the growers who will have contracts as suppliers’ but the tax payers will be “on the hook” eventually. Also, “hey boss, I have a bad back and my doctor gave me a prescription for Rastas weed which I need to smoke every two hours”.
Lawyers will have a field day with all these claims.
And let’s just add weed to that growing list. What are you trying to say?
Just legalize it and get the product out of the subsidy business if need be.
So tell me Doctor. What distinguishes “Drugs” from “medicine”? Since you are apparently an expert. And again, let me guess, you’re in favor of small government, right?
and my response is... so what. If a bunch of losers want to game the system to get some weed, let them. Who cares. Let them puff their lives away.
It’s a problem, but seriously I think he is trying to open a taxation to pay for ohio medicaid
This mother of three smoked a joint to help her sleep and it killed her. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2548669/Devout-Christian-mother-three-31-woman-Britain-DIE-cannabis-poisoning-smoking-joint-bed.html
No, that’s what you said. What I stated in 55 is very clear.
Ya think drugs like Valium are safer?
What a hypocrite. I saw a documentary about the oxycontin problem in Ohio and he was front and center on it talking about the devastation. Now, this dip$h@# wants to legalize a gateway drug.
Btw, you evaded my question.
First they legalize medical pot and next, they will legalize recreational pot. Kasich knows that.
Fortunately, in the states that have legalized pot, there does not seem to be any noticeable bad results—yet.
hootch is a gateway drug
A doctor writes a script, you have insurance that covers pharm, do you pay full price out of pocket for the meds? Will Medicaid/those who rely on public fiscal assistance pay out of pocket? If this was a Medicaid/Medicare infusion, then the son of a mailman is going about it the wrong way.
They didn’t have that good stuff back then.
Nope, medicaid folks won’t pay for it.
They will abuse it but they won’t pay for it.
liars with money that want to be legal will pay for it
What kasich is doing here is underhanded and he is trying to pay off what he promised to medicaid recipients with tazing well to do closet smokers.
Sorry for the misspell,no z here
No; however why should we add weed to the list? If the people want this legalized, fine, but there is a lot of grifting going on underneath the label of “medical marijuana” that will make those who raise their fist at pharm companies profit off of opiates blush from political donors making $$$$ of the subsidization.
Easy. If you have to roll up a joint, chances are that is not a drug.
Also, I want a responsible constitutional government that does not strangle free enterprise and tax us to death. Putting criminals, including druggies, behind bars or death... And killing the foreign enemies and domestic traitors. The government must be powerful to protect and small for free enterprise to thrive. Easy.
The reason pot is a gateway drug is the same guy that sells it sells the other stuff too. Restricting where/ who can sell would be the closest you will ever get to controlling weed. No it’s the way pot is distributed and sold that puts it in the same display as heroin, meth and so on.
