There is growing talk on the right of replacing Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee for president, and even chatter about a possible alternative.
As Trump has floundered over the past week after questioning a federal judge’s impartiality because of his Mexican ancestry, Trump’s critics within the GOP have stepped up their efforts to thwart him. Some anti-Trump conservatives, who have tried for months to recruit an independent candidate, have begun looking more closely at attempting to persuade delegates at next month’s GOP convention to nominate someone other than Trump.
“There is a rapidly moving train toward the convention to try to obstruct it at the convention. Trump in the last 72 hours has given hope to people who think it’s now possible,” said Erick Erickson, a conservative radio talk show host and one of Trump’s most resolute critics.
“He’s starting to give everybody hope that he should be stopped at the convention,” Erickson said, though he cautioned that if Trump “cleans up his act then I think that hope will go away.”

I just watched the video (thanks for posting that link BTW). What I saw was she is starting to finally realize, she very well may be the next First Lady.
It is very clear. She is paying attention, but I think she is mostly concentrating on her new job.

Ivanka, and Melania both looked apprehensive last night. I noticed Melania was scanning the crowd, and also noticed that there was serious security (one guy looked like a linebacker) in front of the stage.
I pray for Trump’s safety. I think some of his political enemies are totally bankrupt of morality.
Erick Erickson, Hugh Hewitt, Bill Kristol and their surrogates should leave the United States and make Cuba their home. That way they can get the kind of society they are shooting off their mouths for while they are shooting themselves in the foot.
I am myself totally sold on Donald’s qualifications.
It has been so long, that the GOP has been useless. Sold out to companies, who are selling off America to China.
Bush was very much into globalism. Obama has been very much into globalism. Clinton was very much into globalism. Everyone for the last entire generation, has been selling out AMERICA.
Trump finally, is the guy who is standing up to all of the sell-outs.
Finally. And he is brave, and strong, and has all the resources of a huge fortune, and massive electoral support.
He’s really the only person who could have stood up as he is doing. I very much believe he will play a very strong role in rebuilding our very own nation.
Everyone has been sold out.
That is why everyone has been fed-up with politicians now. Because they are all sold out.
Donald Trump is standing up, and he is for America for a change.

Glad you notice that. I did not notice about Melania, but Ivanka facial expression was totally different than other previous appearance with her father on stage.
Ivanka is an ace, and very protective of her dad.
Third-string radio talkers trying to get attention by bashing Trump.
Every once in a while Ivanka and Melania would glance at each other, then give a brief smile, as if they were reassuring each other.
I was wondering if there had been a security threat of which they were aware.
I'm surprised they can fire at all, considering how impotent the GOP is.
Actually was starting to get worried 10 days ago when Lindsey Graham jumped on the Trump Train. Thank God Trump uttered another truth and Lindsey jumped back off the train. The truth to the Uniparty is like a cross to vampires.
Sore losers and no integrity. Dirty tricks, collusion, and unprecedented conniving lie ahead. Even if Trump isn’t your choice, such actions reveal their true colors. May they all get what they deserve sooner rather than later.
If they can't buy or subvert him, they'll kill him.
I think they might even make a martyr of him if they can get one of their own globalists in power -- from their point of view, we citizens are all bark and no bite... they have their big-data, their FBI and NSA surveillance systems, their military, their amped-up civil services (remember those billions of rounds?), their judges, and their legislature, and the IRS and the ability to slap anyone down they want.
From their point of view, they ask: What do they have?
I hope, by the Grace of God, that the true answer to that is: God Himself.
Rinse Prius seems to be solidly behind Trump at the moment. He did release a statement at the height of the judge uproar saying as much as the GOPers were grandstanding.

They will continue the late night jokes, the riots at rally’s, the lying cable news reports, scandalous articles...they will throw it all at him. I read somewhere that progressives use these tactics so that their opponents cannot be “normalized”
This is how they get people to doubt and begin to believe the opponent is some sort of fringe loon.
It works most of the time. They perfected it with Sarah Palin. Most people still think she is not normal. So much so that the fact that she speaks with an actual female voice is not considered normal and horrid. But Hillary’s fake deep voice is considered normal and preferable.
The problem is Trump is already well known. He’s already been normalized. People know him from Oprah to the Apprentice.

I was posting the same thing concerning fears about Trump’s life. The events leading up to Robert F. Kennedy’s assignation reminded me of what could happen now.
On March 31, 1968 President Johnson announced he would not run for re-election. Kennedy has already announced his bid for president on March 16, 1968. He would face Vice President Hubert Humphrey and Senator Eugene McCarthy in the primaries. Humphrey was the establishment’s chosen candidate. Kennedy had performed better than expected in the delegate race. Kennedy had just won the California primary and gave a victory speech at the Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel. Walking from that speech he was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian born in Jerusalem who had emigrated to the United States when he was twelve. No one would find out why Sirhan Sirhan assassinated Kennedy. I bet the truth is hidden in a Top Secret vault in Washington D.C.
After the killing, Vice President Hubert Humphrey went on to win the nomination and face Richard Nixon in the general election.
