Let people do what they want with their own bodies and property

"The experience of having everybody around me on campus say the left is the way to go and then...seeing communism collapse made me think maybe the libertarians have a better handle on how these things work," says Todd Seavey, author of the new book Libertarianism for Beginners. "While the Soviet Union existed, the Marxists on campus were rooting for the Soviet Union."

A New York-baseed comic-book writer, one-time producer for TV's own John Stossel, and a contributor to Splice Today, Seavey found his way toward libertarianism while attending Brown University in the late 1980s.

His new graphic book, Libertarianism for Beginners, argues that the core message of libertarians is to "keep the government small and let people do what they want with their own bodies and property."

“...utter selfish hedonism.”
Yes. Those who claim unfettered rights for themselves must, of necessity, silence all the dissent of everyone else.
The nudists are roaming the streets in San Francisco. So if you’re sitting on the bus with some guy’s donkey kong in your face, he’s exercising his rights, but you have none.
And if you want to enjoy some live rock and roll, but don’t care for to have cannabis smoke blown in your face, tough luck. Stay home.
I once had a libertarian neighbor who liked to smoke pot in his back yard. Which meant I couldn’t barbecue or sit on my deck and read without getting a contact high.
My feeling is, how hard is it to get stoned at home, before the concert? Or keep one’s exhibitionism among like-minded friends?

There are massive social costs associated with your insistence on using cannabis.

such as...? Remember, you are replying to an individual, and your ‘massive social costs’ must be restricted to that individual’s own usage...
