Gee, who could have seen this coming?
A transgender male won all-state honors in womens track and field in Alaska this week.
Haines senior Nattaphon Wangyot, who self-identifies as a woman, finished fifth in the 100 and third in the 200 at the girls state track meet.
The Daily Caller reported, via CBS Local: http://www.ktva.com/high-school-runner-brings-spotlight-to-alaska-transgender-policy-432/
High school girls in Alaska are crying foul after a male sprinter took home all-state honors in girls track and field. According to local reports, it was the first time in Alaskan history that a male athlete competed in the girls state championships.
Haines senior Nattaphon Wangyotwho self-identifies as a girladvanced to the state finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter events. He won fifth place in the 100-meter dash and third place in the 200-meter. In both events, he competed against girls as young as ninth grade.
One of the girls Wangyot beat out for a slot at the state meet, Hutchison runner Emma Daniels, took issue with allowing a male athlete to compete in girls events.
Im glad that this person is comfortable with who they are and theyre able to be happy in who they are, but I dont think its competitively completely 100-percent fair, she told a local CBS station.
Poor Natt. He may have Mommie’s features, but he still has all of Daddie’s fixtures.
Rant off.
Actually, shouldn't pure feminism be demanding males and females compete together anyway?
I was thinking of the E.G. national anthem....and here it is!
Barry & Val J smiling.
Good point.
I can’t wait for male transsexuals to sweep the female events in the next Olympics. Plus it will be a Title IX violation to deny them college sports scholarships for females.
I agree with you.
On a side note, I think most college sports scholarships are a scam. A percentage less payment on a seriously overpriced product.
It’s like ‘sales’ at the Jewelry store. When the ‘sale’ can be 70%, then you know the mark-up is huge.
Back in my running prime, late thirties to late forties, I was always happy to be ahead of or somewhere near the first woman. Invariably she was an excellent athlete.
Yes, wrong. He knocked a real girl out of a third or fifth finish.
I was in track through high school and college, worked very hard to place at higher level competition. If I were running against boys I may have just given up. What’s the point of running until you pass out or hours in the weight room if there is no chance of success?
Im glad that this person is comfortable with who they are and theyre able to be happy in who they are . . .
a ‘this person’ cannot possibly be referred to as ‘they’...
I also believe a case could be made for usage of whom’ rather than ‘who’ in this sentence...
politically correct illiteracy is still illiteracy...
because of male dna, practically all girls will loose out....
not only that, but they’ll lose quite often as well...
Back in my running prime, late thirties to late forties, I was always happy to be ahead of or somewhere near the first woman.
I started running at age 49; I placed nowhere near the first female at any distance...typically, she came in about 12th to 15th in the overall field...
I remember one race in which the winner (male, obviously)remarked about the hills; the female winner, trying to be snarky, responded ‘what hills...I guess that’s why men don’t have babies...’
hmmm...by how many minutes did those 15 men beat you, bitch...?
The girls should sue for being discriminated against.
Physically the body of a male pretending to be a woman has an unfair advantage in this type of competition.
The girls are discriminated against because they are barred by law or internal rules to have a girls only team and a girls only competition.
Money talks, bullshit walks and this is a way to beat back this nonsense... sue the pants of the competition organizer, and then sue the state for good measure.
Put in rules to handicap them based on some subjective preference to achieve parity in success.
like making all the male runners wear their shoes backwards, or having all male basketball players allowed to shoot only set shots from half court...any number of permutations are available...
As all of us must do these days. Can't just say, "Look, this boy who thinks he's a girl is a pure psycho," or else you might be hauled off for re-education.
NOT the first time in history!
