Back in my running prime, late thirties to late forties, I was always happy to be ahead of or somewhere near the first woman. Invariably she was an excellent athlete.

Back in my running prime, late thirties to late forties, I was always happy to be ahead of or somewhere near the first woman.

I started running at age 49; I placed nowhere near the first female at any distance...typically, she came in about 12th to 15th in the overall field...

I remember one race in which the winner (male, obviously)remarked about the hills; the female winner, trying to be snarky, responded ‘what hills...I guess that’s why men don’t have babies...’

hmmm...by how many minutes did those 15 men beat you, bitch...?
