My Great Grandfather was born in Genoa, Italy, went to France where my Grandfather was born, came to America and signed in at San Francisco, then came to Utah. He and my Grandfather worked at the Bingham Copper mine, the town they lived in was Highland Boy...as the mine grew bigger, the little towns disappeared...
My Grandfather ended up working at the smelter in Sandy, Utah where he met my Grandmother...My Great Grandmother was the first woman buried in Sandy City Cemetery...
My Great Grandfather on my Grandmother's side came from England, as did my Great Grandmother...
My paternal forebears came from Switzerland to Philadelphia in 1750. They received warrant rights to 50 acres of land in York Township, York County, PA. My maternals came from Darmstaadt, Germany sometime later.
Sensible, regulated immugration, to people who want to assimilate, is O.K.

My ancestor on my paternal grandfather’s side came here from Scotland as a single man in the mid-1700’s and settled in the mountains of North Carolina. He fought in the Revolutionary War with George Washington. Some of his children married other Scot’s immigrants and some married into the North Carolina band of Cherokee. My grandmother is descended from some the Cherokee band of Tennessee.
My paternal great-grandfather lived long enough (almost 100) to tell me about the Civil War. He was born in 1865 and heard stories told by people that actually lived it.
We come from LEGAL immigrants that moved here for a better life and made this country great. The illegals sneaking across the border hate this country. They are slowly taking back the parts that were at one time part of Mexico and our stupid politicians are just letting them. If they want to come here legally, learn the language, and assimilate, they will have no problem from me.
Trump really needs to push and push to prove this point. He also needs to push the facts about what would happen to an American if he/she sneaked into Mexico, protested a Mexican election, threatened Mexican citizens, and burned the Mexican flag while flying the American flag.
