I think you’re right. Maybe Colin hasn’t arrived here yet! I should know better, I’ve lived here for >50 years! But media coverage here is spotty because we’re remote, so frankly I’m not sure exactly where the storm is.

See satellite image above. Currently, the storm is threading the needle between the Yucatan Peninsula and Western tip of Cuba.

This storm is expected to become TS Colin this afternoon. If it’s ok with you, I’ll just request that we change the title of this thread, rather than start a new one. I’m not much for gumming up the site with a zillion storm threads.

Lordy, too early to lose power. Over here in Orlando nothing yet but some pretty, fluffy clouds. The birds and cidadas are singing more than usual though.
Got chocolate? !

Power is back on now.
Ghirardelli Dark with Sea Salt Caramel and Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. We're living in the lap of luxury for this storm.

I put Eglin AFB radar on my toolbar. I got it from Acuweather. It covers your area pretty well tho Tallahassee would be better.

Yes, I have my town on Accuweather too. There’s a big storm over us. I incorrectly thought that was Colin.
To: NautiNurse
I should have looked at the NOAA map instead of just the Accuweather radar.

Here is a
cool NHC product where you can zoom in to street level to see whether you are within the cone of death, while your neighbor across the street may be spared from the cone of destruction. ;o)

Those TJ’s peanut butter cups are wonderful!
I’ve not developed the taste for the salt/sweet chocolates yet, but it may come to me suddenly one day!
Glad power’s back.
We are so overdue for a nasty season. Long time since Charley, Jeanne and Frances.

Heh! I saw the radar before I saw the track forecast, and my immediate thought was “just what Houston needs.”
I hope it brings a little more rain to ATL, we are still somewhat short.

Tinyurl is your friend. Posting long URLs like that messes up FR page width.
