U.S. Special Forces fighting side-by-side with the Kurds in Syria are now just 18 miles from ISIS' de facto capital, Raqqa.
American soldiers were seen at an outpost in Fatisah alongside Kurdish soldiers, with some even seen wearing the badges of the Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG).
Fatisah is around 30 miles from Raqqa, but the Daily Beast claimed American forces were now just 18 miles from the ISIS stronghold.

....and against the CIA.
The US fighting alongside the Kurds is going to get interesting when the Turks start killing Kurds.
Yes, it will. Won't be pretty.
I wonder how our POTUS will try to square that?
When was the last time anybody bothered to ask him WTF he was doing?
“I can promise you there will be absolutely no boots on the ground.” — President Barack Hussein Obama
The Dems are too busy drooling over him.
The GOP has vomited enough.
The rest? Who knows.
I stopped caring a long time ago. He's a great do-nothing mystifier.
In another sense loose lips sink ships.
Things are really moving on the ground now with ISIS in Syria.
The largely Kurdish SDF, with US support, is moving close to the ISIS “capital” of Raqqa from the North (10-15 miles out). They may just draw up close and hold a partial siege.
ISIS has been reported to be shifting their leaders and their families, and many of their foreign fighters out of Raqqa, while they send their Syrian recruits North, to hold back the oncoming attack.
ISIS has (just in the last day - Friday, 27 May) made a big push toward the Turkish border crossing near AZAZ. Turkish supported rebels in the area are either stepping aside, or getting routed.
Rumors are flying of Turkish incursions, and Kurdish shifts toward Manbij, and Azaz. After a couple of months of relative stability with the Syrian Kurds, it looks like some decisions have been made.
The problem is, it's possible that if this originated/is blessed by Obama, it may be a ship that shouldn't have sailed.
God watch over and protect our warriors as they bravely wade into the fray that their despicable leader demands of them.
