I do that too. But I put on the Muzak channel on the cable TV Music Choice and lay the phone next to the TV speaker.

A radio host once said they get rid of annoying calls at home like this:
Ring, ring...
“Hello, I’m so glad you called me. Let me tell you about Jesus!”
The phone quickly goes CLICK at the other end. ;-)

Rebeca form credit card services calls once a month. Not 3 or 4 times a week? You're lucky- I get her twice on home phone and twice more on the cell most weeks.

I've had very good success on my cell phone with an app called, Mr. Number. I use the Android version. It's free and easy to install.

If you get one of these scam calls, what a great opportunity to tell them about Jesus.

When I reset my computer wi fi connection there is an FBI Surveillance Van #2 router that shows up. I need to be careful, they are very near When you have to worry is if "Cat Detector Van" shows up, their equipment could pinpoint a purr at four hundred yards!

He called me yesterday. His area code was DC. Warned me to not ignore this phone call “if you knew what was good for you”

Received a call last month from someone representing themselves as FPL. They were on their way to cut off my service. All they wanted was a partial payment to keep the tech from disconnecting my service. They nearly had me. I called FPL direct and discovered the call was not from the power company. Saved $400. by checking out a very sophisticated scam.

...start using NSA Codewords in your conversation.I opened several articles from various sources about those words, all of which headlines implied there is a list to be had. Not one so far has provided the list.

The IRS does not call people about tax issues. I actually did get such a call once. I refused to talk to him about anything and told the fellow anybody could call claiming that. I ended up calling the IRS from the phonebook number and sure enough it was actually legit.

If anyone ever tries to justify big government, just mention the effectiveness of the Do Not Call program.

A while back the IRS was going to sue me. Now lately I've been inundated by calls from people with thick Indian accents who represent "Windows" and want to fix my computer.
When do the "we have leftover asphalt for your driveway" calls start?

If anyone ever tries to justify big government, just mention the effectiveness of the Do Not Call program.I submitted a lot of numbers to them over the years, but there is no procedure to follow up on your report to see what (if any) action was taken. The calls have not slowed or stopped.
I strongly suspect that the DNC system (double entendre, anyone?) is a jobs program for the otherwise unemployable relatives of the connected, probably no-show at that.

The Colorado no call list did finally get rid of the 3 calls a day I was getting to give me the opportunity to extend my car warranty That alone was a relief
One way to deal with scammers is to ask if their product can be purchased with food stamps....
