Killswitch Engage - Rose Of Sharyn
Numb and broken, Here I stand alone, Wondering what were The last words I said to you Hoping, praying that I'll find a way To turn back time, Can I turn back time? What would I give to behold. The smile the face of love, You never left me, The rising sun Will always speak your name.
Numb, i'm broken Here i stand alone. Wondering the words, The last words i said to you It won't be long We'll meet again...
What would i give, to behold The smile, the face of love? You never left me The rising sun Will always speak your name
It won't be long, we'll meet again Your memory is never passing It won't be long, we'll meet again My love for you is everlasting.
I mourn for those who never knew you I mourn for those who never knew you
It won't be long, we'll meet again Your memory is never passing It won't be long, we'll meet again My love for you is everlasting.
It won't be long, we'll meet again.. It won't be long, we'll meet again.. It won't be long, we'll meet again.. It won't be long, we'll meet again..

Jud Strunk - Daisy A Day
He remembers the first time he met her He remembers the first thing she said He remembers the first time he held her And the night that she came to his bed
He remembers her sweet way of singin' Honey has somethin' gone wrong He remembers the fun and the teasin' And the reason he wrote her this song I'll give you a daisy a day I'll give you a daisy a day I'll love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away
< They would walk down the street in the evenin' And for years I would see them go by And their love that was more than the clothes that they wore Could be seen in the gleam of their eye
As a kid they would take me for candy And I loved to go taggin' along We'd hold hands while we walked to the corner And the old man would sing her his song
I'll give you a daisy a day I'll give you a daisy a day I'll love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away
Now he walks down the street in the evenin' And he stops by the old candy store And I somehow believe he's believin' He's holdin' her hand like before
For he feels all her love walkin' with him And he smiles at the things she might say Then the old man walks up to the hilltop And gives her a daisy a day
I'll give you a daisy a day I'll give you a daisy a day I'll love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away

Have you seen the post-Jerry Dead? I never have. Just seems wrong. Last time I saw ‘em was in ‘87 in Ventura.
Small Faces. Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake? Haven’t heard their music in ages. I think Kenney Jones might be the only surviving member now.

Howdy, Kathy.
Nope. No rain for us. It drowned parts of the state this evening but nothing got close to us. Again.
How’d your day go? Smoothly, I hope.
Is your mom behaving this evening and giving you a well-deserved break?

It was a good morning. I took the afternoon off, even tho my 2pm appointment was postponed til next Thursday. I dropped my friend off so she could pick up her car, then on to Lowes to scout out solar generators. Ended up talking about whole house generators that come on by themselves when needed.
A dream, but upwards of $15,000 last time I looked...not going to happen. But they give free estimates and there is financing and I can dream and learn what I really would need. We’ve got a gasoline generator, but I don’t want all the issues that go with it...needing gasoline, oil, dragging it outside, pull start, long extension cords, electrical panel manipulation. And I have to be home to do all that stuff. So I made an appointment to have the guy come out.
Then this evening the screen man came and measured for 5 new screens. 4 windows the same size, but all had a little different dimensions. They were a lot less expensive than I thought. They should be ready in 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. Finally I will be able to get some cross ventilation.
Busy day, lots of walking and standing...knees are screaming. Funny thing...the guy that I talked to about generators was seated...seems he just recently had a knee replacement.

Not a bad day at all. :-)
Whew, it stinks that those whole house generators are so steep in price. They’re a nice thing to have. Dad had one installed at his house a year or so before he died because they live on the FL coast. Hurricanes and bad storms have a tendency to knock the power out and he and his wife were to the point they just couldn’t head out of town any more.
A bad storm knocked out the power earlier this year and my step-mom told me that generator kicked right on.
We have three generators like you have - - gasoline. They’re a pain but sure are nice to have when needed. Better than nothing at all. When the tornado hit a few years ago, we used one to keep the freezers going and to occasionally use our computers. The more you plug in, the more gas that thing uses so we kept it to a minimum.
Glad you got your screens ordered at last. It’ll be nice to open those windows for the breeze. Not much longer now!
Sounds like your knees could use a tub session. :-)
