Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump vowed Thursday to bring energy independence to America by getting rid of regulations aimed at curbing pollution and emissions of greenhouse gases, and he lashed out at Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton for planning to unleash the Environmental Protection Agency to control every aspect of our lives.
I think the federal government should get out of the way, Trump said in what was billed as a major energy address. We have so much potential energy people wouldnt even believe it.
Trump also repeated claims that he would be able to revive the coal industry and bring back coal-mining jobs by abolishing environmental and climate regulations. Were going to save that coal industry, believe me, he said. I love those people.
He added that market forces are something I dont want to get involved with. The market force is a beautiful force.

But didn’t anyone read that the Saudi’s are having money problems?
How will politics work if we don’t send money to the camel jockeys to lander and send back in “contributions”? Oh the huge manatee!!
Pray for Trump’s safety.
The Saudi’s and OPEC have had us over the barrel far too long. Let them suffer, cut $ to terrorists at the same time.
LFTR
I look forward to the day when we can tell the Soddies: “We learned how to make ethanol from corn when you embargoed oil. Maybe now you can learn how to make wheat from oil.”
Not sure the technology is fully available or else everyone would be using them.
I loved his stated policies and the way he talked about them. Everything is on the table but not to the point where the government has to subsidize it (like widespread solar panels and bird-killing windmills) to make it viable.
Yeah, and let’s pull US troops guarding their oil out of the country. Let them fend for themselves.
Great idea. We get Thorium for the LFTR from coal, the use part of the energy from the Thorium to liquidize the coal via the Fischer-Tropsch process (used by the the Germans during WW2 - this isn’t new technology). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fischer%E2%80%93Tropsch_process We have several hundred years worth of coal. This would provide for all or nearly all of our electrical and gas/diesel needs.
Coal gasification. Do it.
