FLASHBACK: Mark Levin: Id rather fight with Mitt Romney as president than give Obama a 2nd term!
Jul 3, 2012
Mark Levin took a call from someone who was trying to make the argument against voting for Romney, but Levin was having none of it and it propelled him into a great rant about why there is no alternative but to vote Obama out of office by putting Romney in his place. He knows who Mitt Romney is and makes clear that hed rather fight with Romney than give Obama a 2nd term as president.
And I whole heartedly agree. Listen below:
I want to see this Mark Levin make a comeback:
“Who is the alternative? There is no alternative. So commit suicide on your own, pal! Don’t drag the rest of us with you. Now get off the phone you big dope!”

This page has such a photo (Bob Dole behind Nelson) but says it’s from a campaign stop in NY.
Mark, Who is the alternative? I am sick and tired of these callers committing suicide on your radio. Get behind Trump. And be 100% behind defeating Hillary. 100%. I have no time for these suicide callers. And neither do you.
Posts like this are why I come to FR. Can you imagine how cool it would be for Levin to actually let a caller on air to say something like this? Which of course would never happen, but it shows you how many of his former listeners are feeling these days. He can censor us out, and will probably continue his underhanded and strawman attacks on Trump right until the election, but the jig is up for him at this point. He tripled down on Cruz and is part of the free traitors clan, which are on the way out based on the energy we see on both political sides right now.
“To not vote properly in this election is to harm your kids and my kids....Mitt Romney is not Reagan. I am well aware of this! I don’t need to hear this. But here is the key. He is not Obama either!” - Mark Levin Jul 3, 2012

Wow, this is money. Mark Levin indicting Mark Levin. Thank you for searching this out or somehow having it. It is worth a listen by everyone and anyone. It took me a long while and I finally figured out Cruz, I still don't understand what's going on with Levin, but this vid is proof that the chasm between who he is today and who he was 4 years ago is about unchargeable. Consistent Conservative Not.
Same here, but his dishonesty is undeniable at this point. I gave up on Mark completely when he recently spent an entire week attacking Trump on tariffs, while endlessly praising Reagan out the other side of his mouth on the same exact show, when anyone who closely follows these issues knows that Reagan implemented huge tariffs against Japan.
Mark was preying on those who don't know the history of such things, and this is just one example. He has painted everything that Trump does in the worst possible light, and not given him one ounce of credit on anything they should actually agree on, unless Mark then adds some snide comment on at the end. My life is simply too busy to listen to such negative, dishonest diatribe.
I really hated the Trump Wars on FR, but Mark was more of a symptom, not the problem. He remains The Great One, particularly in defense of the Constitution. Wouldn't mind seeing him as AG...
It would be nice if it were that simple. If he had only picked the wrong horse that is one thing, the way he is lashing out at Trump and the vile snark that has seeped into every word he says about Trump is symptomatic of something worse. He considers himself the leader of the conservative movement and that is not how leaders behave or set an example.
That's him outside his limo giving the finger to some hecklers as he entered/exited a building.
Back in the day of the '64 convention no regular news source would have carried such a photo that I recall. So it had to have been in a limited circulation conservative publication.
The constitution calls for tariffs to be the primary if not sole income for the federal government, but if you listen to Mark these days, "free trade" is hands down his #1 issue. He just spent a entire week on promoting it, misrepresenting Reagan's position on it the entire time.

You're absolutely right. I used to take Levin's viewpoint on things as I knew little about re the Constitution, early American history, government. Now I can no longer do that. It makes me, and a lot of others, wonder how right he is about Article V and other legal interpretations he has made that have been attacked critically. Square one was we always assumed Levin was correct, and we can't do that anymore. I think that is who is left supporting him, the people who continue to assume he is always right due to their own inadequate knowledge.
Good point.
re: "they fought on into the convention"
Yes that's where it happened. It used to be great entertainment even before TV.
Okay, because of your signature line, I will take your words under advisement. Meanwhile, come on, November! :)
Yes. I expect that exact call was what persuaded me to vote for Romney even though I did not care for him.
And yet I do not see Mark applying the same logic to Trump, and I am very curious as to why.
This is why I have come to think of Mark Levin as a hypocrite and a fraud.
I like Trump a whole lot more than I like Romney. In fact, I despise Romney, yet I voted for him. I am going to vote for Trump proudly, even though yes, I know he is more liberal than I am on a number of things. He’s a good man, and an honorable man, and I believe that he will do what he says he will do.
And let me tell you what, Mark Levin. I am going to vote for Donald Trump, not only because I respect him and have decided to my my trust as a voter in him, but also because I DO NOT WANT that corrupt, lying, slithering, cackling, barking, hacking, psychopathic dyke, Hillary Clinton as my president.
And I do not appreciate for ONE DAMNED SECOND, the little bullsh!t games you are playing on the radio, bud.
I suggest you get on board, or frankly I am going to look at you as a traitor to this country.
Why in the world would Trump want to go on a show who’s host has attacked him relentlessly for months?
Exactly, his show has actually turned into a bit of a cult following, at least the last couple of times I listened. Most every caller fawned all over him and already had his books, and promoted them further, and Mark then gave free Levin TV subscriptions to the ones who didn't already have it.
Not one dissenter with critical thinking skills is allowed. Millions of his former regular followers like me must be sitting there listening to the group speak, thinking any one of us could easily win the arguments against him, if he would dare let us on the air, much less debate honestly. I've heard many good intentioned callers get ridiculed, then cut off air but still ridiculed even more, but the number of them even willing to even waste their time with him has fallen, right along with his ratings. As that happens, it probably will devolve into something even more cultish like Beck, which is why I'm already out now.
