LANCASTER, California — In the latest twist to this unpredictable 2016 presidential race, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders independently agreed Wednesday night to debate each other.
On ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Trump was asked if he would consider holding a debate with Sanders. Trump agreed to the idea.
"If he paid a sum toward charity I would love to do that," said the business mogul, noting that a Sanders vs. Trump debate "would have such high ratings."
Sanders quickly responded with a tweet reading, "Game On. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7th primary."

You had double posted the apology for the double posting, which I thought was funny.
I do it all the time (double post, I have a SLOW connection), but I’m not nice enough to apologize for it. I figure it just happens and people get it.
Once again this shows that Trump plays 3D chess while the others are playing tiddlywinks.

Because Hillary won’t debate Bernie. Bernie wanted to debate Hillary before California. Hilly Billy is afraid.
It will also confuse a lot of dumb voters who don’t know what’s going on. They’ll think Hillary is out.

A lot of these Bernie supporters are college students. Stupid college students. But not so stupid that they don’t realize that one day they will need a J-O-B.
The appeal of The Donald and The Bern is that they are both seen as straight-shooters, a quality young people (and many of us elders) appreciate more than just the ideology. So if the exact opposite of straight-shooting ends up with the Dem nomination, I can see a significant migration of Bern voters to Trump.
The best thing Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta could do is call everyone’s bluff and get Hillary to show up to the debate after all, eliminating Trump from the podium.
I think Bern has a long shot at getting the nomination.
For that reason I see a debate between them as a job interview for Trump. Bern’s folks will be watching and if Trump can connect with them, the percentage of cross-over will go up.
Can’t argue with that...
This could be a lot of fun. I would suggest that Bernie and Trump agree on a moderator. I would also suggest that they answer the questions seriously. Or reasonably so.
But here’s the kicker.
At any time when one is delivering an answer or rebuttal and their point is clear, the other can jump in and say, “At this point, Hillary would say...” And then deliver a zinger.
...Yeah, I can dream!
Crap.. Just heard on Howie Carr radio show that Trump now says he won’t debate Bernie! :-(
Yes and it’s being said he felt it was unfair to debate the apparent runner up.
Some on facebook are saying such a debate would really help Trump...this from Trump haters who fear the idea (and some go on to say Trump’s gonna lose anyway..)
Putting those two in the same place at the same time, that might be way too tempting for those people who are inclined to Arkancide. I fear for both of them! Don’t do it! Or make the Hildabeast stand there with you!
