Geneva (AFP) - Religious belief is no excuse for refusing to shake a teacher's hand, authorities in a northern Swiss region ruled Wednesday, reversing one school's controversial decision to grant exemptions for Muslim pupils unwilling to touch the opposite sex.

Mind boggling political correctness that will backfire - GUARANTEED.
I’m going to just sit here boggling over the idea of a school fining anyone...
They’ll grope or rape Infidel women but won’t shake hands.
So the “religion” allows one must not shake hands with the opposite sex, but raping them is quite ok. Got it!
The school said physical contact when beheading is ok too.
I never thought the Swiss were such misgyonists
When they rape men and don’t call that “rape,” you realize their “handshake” equivalent requires a penis.
It’s just cultural.

Which are you referring to?
1. Schools can force you to shake hands with the teacher, or
2. Schools cannot force you to shake hands with the teacher.
I’m referring to the idiotic school that initially allowed Muslims to be exempt from a tradition of shaking the teacher’s hand.
This isnt on their terms.
If it ison their terms and they are demanding it or refusing it, different story.
They always want the control over the infidels.
My mom’s peeps are Swiss, specifically Swiss-Italian.
No women haters in that group. They love every female
they can. It’s the Italian part. Family stopped in
Australia long enough in the 1850s or 60s to leave the
name Tognazzinni down-under before heading to the
California coast to spread it some more.
Good for the Swiss. Every country should make arbitrary rules that go against arbitrary muzzie rules.
If you go back to the history of this episode...once the kids said ‘no handshake with women’, they had to refer this to the county/district level, and they said this exemption could be applied (never before had they given out an exemption). This just peeved off the school and the teacher involved just more. So they had to wait until some quarterly meeting occurred at the state level, where they said handshakes were mandatory and recommended the fine.
While all of this was going on....the family involved (dad over the two teenage boys was a religious scholar) was told their paperwork for a permanent visa has been shelved (it’s not moving one way or another). Nothing much is said over why, but you get the idea that they weren’t integrating or modeling themselves as a Swiss.
Maybe a hundred years ago, this male dominate thing would have been OK in most European countries. A lot has happened in the years since WW II, and it is a virtually equal society. If I were a Muslim from a really conservative lifestyle...I would be continually challenged day in and day out by staying in Europe. If one’s priority is staying ultra conservative Islam...you’d best pack up and go back ‘home’, because you and your family will be assimilated into European culture.
When we hired a Muslim female engineer we (males) were all told privately that when we were introduced to the new employee, not to offer our hand for a handshake. She would not respond and it would appear awkward. So we accommodated her wish.
It took quite a while but eventually the work environment worked itself out. She was willing to participate in engineering problem solving and was cordial to her male colleagues.
We all had secret clearances but she only had an interim secret clearance. (Not full access to all data.) I left before finding out whether she eventually got a full clearance or not.
You don’t know where that hand has been!
Besides, hand skin is allowed to be out in the open, in the unclean air. The other body parts they prefer are usually covered, so they stay cleaner!
/major (perhaps even field marshal level) sarcasm
They’ll probably take the fine out of their lunch money.
Cue the “Hot for Teacher” video.
because touching the opposite sex goes against nature or morals or something.
####ing dimwits can’t hug their moms?
