As a Christian, I do not consider myself a homophobe.

I stand on the Word of God. The Word of God says homosexuality is a sin in both the Old and New Testaments. So I see homosexuality as a sin.

No, we can not judge homosexuals for their sin. ONLY God can. My church would welcome any gay person (as long as they aren’t there to make trouble) but my church would never tell them their homosexuality is okay in Gods eyes. They would tell them they must repent and ask for forgiveness and work to give up the sin.

I myself am guilty of other things the Word of God says is sin. I acknowledge my sin and seek forgiveness from God through Jesus Christ for my sins. I do not expect Christians to change their views towards the sins I commit to make me feel better.

I am a sinner just as every homosexual is a sinner. The difference is homosexuals want to change the Word of God to say their homosexuality is okay and they want Christians to give up their values to make them feel better in their sin.

Your response echoes Jesus’s perfect response to the adulteress whom he saved from stoning: he did not condemn her, but he told her the truth that she sinned and to sin no more.

And you did something that Jesus also did during that incident: he didn’t cast a stone at the woman’s accusers.

So many Christians and non-Christians like to condemn other Christians for speaking out against sin. Little do they acknowledge that Jesus had done no such thing.

I appreciate your post. I would make three qualifications:

1) We are to judge, as in discern; we are not to judge, as in condemn. The truth is that all thinking persons judge - and discriminate - in the sense of discerning and choosing.
The left always seeks to pervert words, such as “judge” or “discriminate” - thus making them into intimidating political weapons - while they themselves aggressively judge and discriminate against those they condemn in pursuit of their aims.

2) Some sins are conditional; some are inherent.
Sexual intercourse is not inherently sinful, although adulterous sexual intercourse, for instance, is. God designed sex, and intended it for good.
Homoeroticism, in contrast, is inherently sinful; it is by definition a perversion of God’s design, and cannot be enacted in a God-pleasing way.

3) There is no such thing as homosexuality: There is no valid, verifiable form of sexual reproduction that can take place between two persons of the same sex; so-called homosexuality is inherently dysfunctional.
I therefore instead use the term, homoeroticism: to eroticize physical interaction between two persons of the same sex.
Leftists love to accuse rightists of being anti-science. There are few positions more anti-science than to argue that homosexuality is real.
I took plenty of science courses, and back then, the secular, anti-religious professors loved to condescendingly gloat that all “evolution” cared about was spreading the DNA in the gene pool, and therefore that “love” was a mere illusion to get us to cooperate with sexual reproduction, and that “morality” was a mere social construct to protect one’s own reproductive rights.
To those atheist professors, sex was all and only about getting two fertile persons of the opposite sex who were not too closely related to copulate and reproduce, and that any attendant considerations of emotion or morality were irrelevant.
Some of these same kind of propagandist, leftist professors are now going on about how marriage is not really about heterosexual, reproductive sex but about emotional, satisfying love between two persons of any of a bewildering variety of so-called genders.
The hypocrisy of leftists is truly stunning.

There is almost never the slightest phobia involved. We need to counter this, every time.

What shows more love to a homosexual?

Validating and praising his self destructive lifestyle which brings high odds of dying early with an STD?

or

Calling on him to come to Christ and good Christians who will help him end that self destructive lifestyle with better choices?

excellent post.

A Christian church is a hospital for sinners (all of us) and not a museum for saints.

I don’t try to turn my sins into sacraments. That is the major difference between homosexual activists and homosexual Christians. (Not all homosexuals are activists who push the “gay agenda”.)

This was their agenda all along-they never just wanted “government out of our bedrooms”-they were never going to be finished with their agenda until they could inject themselves into Biblical Christian churches, and try to dictate what Christians can teach-what they can believe (thought crime!). They won’t be done until they eradicate Biblical Christianity, but they know not what they do-that brick wall they’re trying to build around the remnant of true Biblical Christianity is going to fall right on top of their heads during the 7 year Tribulation. All the Christians will be gone, just as they desire, but they won’t like it one bit, though they’ll never admit the connection between the horrors of the Tribulation and the absence of Christians.

I notice, too, that it’s always Christianity they target-never any other religion, including especially the one which makes no secret of its desire for world domination, which has no shame in using the most horrific violence to achieve its goal.

There were a few people, way back in the Seventies, who were so prescient as to see that getting government out of their bedrooms was never the one and only goal of the sodomite agenda. Lester Roloff comes to mind-he preached a sermon (which can be found online) called “The End Time Sin Of Homosexuality” in which he pointed out that God calls homosexuality an abomination-a designation which is not given to every sin-because the full societal acceptance of it is indicative of a nation in rebellion-

Romans 1:27-29King James Version (KJV)

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
