A Milo Yiannopoulos event at DePaul University had to be cut short Tuesday night after protesters stormed the stage, blew whistles, grabbed the microphone out of the interviewers hand, and threatened to punch Yiannopoulos in the face.

apparently DePaul has four different campuses.
does anyone know which was the campus where Milo got no security yesterday?
can anyone tell me?
“It wouldn’t suprise me to see forced disappareances and other Stalinist era practices happening here one day if this is not stopped.”
I believe this has already begun, in the form of criminalizing political opposition - such as the politicized prosecution of Tom Delay, or the cherry picked prosecution of Dinesh D’Souza. And the Clintons didn’t possess 200 FBI files for the fun of it.
And now we are seeing criminalizing the most mildest of non-conformity - aka the potential fine in NYC for using the wrong pronoun, or a security guard getting charged with assault for puling a guy out of a women’s restroom. Or, the (not said in jest) occasional comment that climate deniers should be arrested.
And in general, a campaign of ‘shaming’ people on social media over issues has emerged. I’ve noticed that its no longer acceptable to just ignore people - if you don’t vocally support a leftist position online, you are branded a homobigotfascist. Similarly, at a local university, the BLM crowd tried to impeach the student government - for no particular reason, other than not vocally supporting BLM.
I view these developments as a first step...and it wouldn’t really be that big a jump to imprison people for ‘civil rights violations’ over not baking a gay wedding cake (might have already happened actually), etc.
And just like the Soviet Union, the left doesn’t have to imprison all of us - just enough to instill fear in the rest, augmented with thought police scouring people’s online postings, and imploring children to narc on their parents for being homofascistbigots, etc.
IMO, we’re seeing the end of American Stalinism. This is NOTHING new. I remember that Tom Tancredo was trying to speak at some campuses and got run off by protestors. Now, those hooligans are getting exposed, and you’re also getting speakers like Milo or Ben Shapiro who don’t back down. Milo led the students outside to the president’s office to complain about the lack of security. Could you imagine Jeb Bush doing something like that? Me neither.
I learned that the hard way with my ex-wife. Funny...I kept telling her that when everything is “your way or the highway” sooner or later, it’s the highway. It’s later!
That's redundant.
“...they believe the rest of the people are too stupid to think and act in their own interests.”
Ironic, isn’t it? These people know NOTHING beyond a few monosyllabic slogans, which they chant over and over like the little programmed robots they are.
The “tolerant” left at it again. These sorts take hypocrisy to whole new levels.
Push, push back.
This is not going to end well. The... tone for lack of a better word, has changed.
Agreed.
Supporting free speech by shutting down speech. An idea so stupid only liberals could love it.
Okay...so who are the Nazis again?
Perfect. Now for the “liberals hate gay men” meme.
There are no active homosexuals who are full-range conservatives. Can’t be. Contradiction in terms. But I guess they hate him more because he is anti-feminist or whatever than love him because he is queer.
They must have been lying all along.
Yep....and notice that liberals will hurl wreckless and baseless names like “bigot”, “racists”, “fill-in-the-blank-PHOBE”. They do not realize when they do that, they have already lost the argument because they cannot argue on principle, they just resort to name calling.
Lastly, liberals not only view others as stupid but also view themselves as superior to everyone. In other words, liberals do not believe in equality because they think they are superior.
Wow, very well said. We’ve lost this country and are fighting to get it back.
