Monday on Yahoo Global News ardent “Never Trump” activist and conservative blogger Erick Erickson said he can not vote for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Erickson said, “If the Republican Party wants to go in his direction, I guess I’m not a Republican anymore. I never signed a party oath.”

...

I think Hillary Clinton is unfit for the office as well, but she certainly does have the qualifications.” He added he would not vote for Clinton as well, adding, “I find them both appalling.”

Grass roots Republicans, the ‘hacks’ FReepers love to hate, have been getting more conservative for several decades. McCain and Romney throwing their elections was going to lead to a Republican internal revolution. It is just a little surprising that Trump is the revolution’s focus.

When I think of "grass roots activists" I think of the loyal soldiers toiling at the county level, the dedicated souls who pray outside abortion clinics, the volunteers manning phone banks and working to register their neighbors in grocery parking lots.

I do not think of Erickson and Kristol and Glenn Beck as "grass roots activists." They're in the game for their own enrichment.

Right.

County and state level Republicans have been moving away from Kristol, Boehner and McConnell, et al, and the others who peaked around 1978 for years. Rush has been mailing it in for years, and talkers like Hewitt and Prager may champion a certain level of historical social conservatism, but have never been limited government guys.

Beck has gone crazy, and Savage has always been crazy, regardless of their political endorsements.

These self anointed ‘conservatives’ such as Erickson, the neo-con men, the girlie boys at NR, Levin, the Commentary crowd and all the rest; are card carrying members of the DC
R Establishment. Cold reality.
What they know about Principled Conservatism wouldn’t fill the 4th quadrant of a postage stamp. They have their knickers in a twist because Trump won’t kiss their ass and they see media attention passing them by. How sad.
The next time any of these nobodies utters a comment, idea or thought worthy of reflection, will be the first time.

OK, we get it. How many times do you believe that telling us you are leaving the Party is newsworthy?

Maybe you can start a new Cuckservative Party. You and Bill Kristol can be the founders.

Erickson: If GOP Is Going in Trump’s Direction, ‘I’m Not A Republican Anymore’

That’s pretty obvious. And, just what qualifications does HRC have?

Erickson has strapped on a suicide vest and is going to blow himself up.

The man has lost his mind.

Eric

No one care. No one has ever cared. You have always been an irrelevant narcissistic pompous blow hard who was promoted far beyond his level of competence by Herman Cain and Rush Limbaugh.

“I think Hillary Clinton is unfit for the office as well, but she certainly does have the qualifications.”

George Orwell, in his novel 1984, coined the term “doublethink” which refers to the ability to believe two contradictory concepts at the same time.

That quotation is a prime example and it shows the extent to which this idiot has degraded him mental abilities with his unreasoning hatred.
