Betcha that he was simply reassigned to another position, not fired as we know it.

Who fired him? Does congress have authority to remove him or was he just thrown to the wolves by Obama? Good question. I would have thought it also was an Executive responsibility. Perhaps there is some function over which the House Committee was given power, and they simply are firing THAT guy - while the main TSA guys get off scott-free
anyone know the answer to this?

I know a couple of TSA employees, and having worked myself in the Federal Government for many years, I can tell you that from what I am told, this is the WORST run Federal division. Moral is terrible, working conditions awful, pay is pitiful, but the people at the top are happy and say that nothing is wrong!
They really do need to clean house, if they intend to keep it running at all.

My wife and I visited the TSA Pre-check office at MCO (Orlando Airport) today and had a horrible experience.
We arrived at 1115, did not have an appointment but were just “walk ins.” There were two employees in the office and about Fifteen customers. No one was at the desk to check people in or answer questions. The line of new arrivals to the office frequently was at least eight or ten people and, whatever the process was, they were slow and not organized. After watching one of the two go to lunch and the other taking care of an airport employee who just walked in and was helped while an applicant was waiting to be finger printed.
My wife questioned the lack of efficiency to one of the men. After he left with the airport employee, the other guy asked, across the room full of people if my wife had “a problem?” She restated a suggestion that, “at least have a sign up clipboard like they have in Doctors’ offices, we have no idea where we stand or what order you are taking applicants.” We had pre-registered on line and that was simply a waste of time, ink and paper.
He dismissed that idea and SLOWLY continued about his business. By this time we had been in the office for an hour and a half and had to leave because we had another
appointment to keep.
Get rid of the TSA and hire contract security. The UNION JERKS are just sucking on the government teat, at our expense.

Scapegoat. He’s probably already got another job in another agency at higher pay. No bureaucracy ever fires the evil doers. Those are the ones that rise to the top. If you’ve never worked for the govt just think of that absolutely worst administrator you’ve ever known at a private company. The entire govt management structure is made up of those guys. And worse.

-——A federal employee FIRED???-——
It’s a bogus headline....the article says “removed” from his position....
A federal job is just about the safest occupation one can have...
Pretty much unless you do something egregiously wrong and they put you in prison, you keep your job...

And you wouldn't have to pay their retirement either I bet. I would guess there are plenty of them doing stuff they could be prosecuted for. All it takes is lawyers, lawyering. Preferably Jewish. From New York.
