The Democratic Party relies too heavily on superdelegates to pick its presidential nominees, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday though she downplayed the current dispute between party leaders and Sen. Bernard Sanders.
Mrs. Pelosi called the fight between Mr. Sanders and party leaders a family disagreement and insisted it wont dent the eventual nominee in the general election. She also dismissed comparisons to the riot-fueled 1968 Democratic convention.
This is an incident. That was a colossal
clash of people, she said.

It is good Nan finally admits democrats are socialists, they just dont like calling themselves that.
They do long to reveal their true colors.
Piglosi’s just whistling through the dhimmicrat cesspool
The Whole World Is Watching, Nancy.
You've pissed off the cankled one and you're nervous ?
Nan's hoping for a brokered convention, no reason...
Yep, who woke up the Botoxicated whore???
Yea, but we will need to pass through the election to see what is in it.
Nah, she is just working for Biden/Obama...
Correct, the superdelegate system is no different than the strong arming of Obamacare through Congress.
What she means is there should only be enough to give Hillary the nomination not enough to boost Sanders over
1968 happened because after Johnson pulled out party leaders nominated Humphrey, who hadn't participated in any of the primaries. I wouldn't say the current situation is entirely different from 1968. If it weren't for the super-delegates Hillary wouldn't be the nominee, and there are a lot of peeps who think the nomination is being stolen.
I suspect -
That Pelosi is dinging the superdelegates because THEY are the biggest danger (as far as the primary process goes) to Hilary. She is certain to pick up a majority of the the elected/selected delegates. These are required to vote for her.
The superdelegates aren’t bound. They can abandon her at any time, if she looks like a disaster. That can deny her the nomination.
So you favor giving the home basketball team 25 points before the game starts?
And their answer is (crickets chirping).
“If it weren’t for the super-delegates Hillary wouldn’t be the nominee”
Yes she would be. She will get a majority of the regular delegates, no problem. She’s too close to the magic number. She can lose over 60% of those still outstanding to Sanders and still win.
Conversely there is no way Sanders can get a majority.
The superdelegates, because they could abandon her at any time, are the biggest danger here.
Unless she’s on the winning side.
