Obama is not a negro. He is a mulattohalf-white, half-negro.Truth be told, more like an octoroon. One eighth black, three eighths Arab and half white.

How long before the new terms become offensive too?
I didn’t know oriental was offensive, but I don’t use it.

Come to think of it, I had not heard the word Oriental used to describe Asians in a very long time.
It simply means “from the east”. They’re offended by that WHY, exactly?
To: Buckeye McFrog
I don’t know. But will the armed forces have to rename their “orienteering” courses?

this is the kind of trivia you promote when all you have is shallow ideology, and no real vision or ideal for the future of a nation. Bingo JT

It simply means from the east. Theyre offended by that WHY, exactly? No one is offended. It is akin to the so-called "Redskins" bs where when you ask actual native americans they shrug their shoulders. This stuff is all made up to advance an agenda.

So those who were never born in Africa should be called Africans now? Those not born in puerto rico should be called puerto ricans? I wasn’t born in Rome- Can i demand they call me a roman?

There are so many morons serving as elected criminals, that I hope one of TRUMP's first goals is to FORCE all future valid laws to cite the relevant Constitutional section that empowers
the Federal Government to control the national language in any manner whatsoever.
With a mandatory significant penalty for any legislator who tries.
My obscure choice? Calling ANY waste of taxpayer funds an "investment" in any Expenditure Bill whatsoever.

The Major Divisions of the Human Race
Most anthropologists recognize 3 or 4 basic races of man in existence today. These races can be further subdivided into as many as 30 subgroups.
Ethnographic division into races from Meyers Konversationslexikon of 1885-90 is listing:
Caucasian races (Aryans, Hamites, Semites)
Mongolian races (northern Mongolian, Chinese and Indo-Chinese, Japanese and Korean, Tibetan, Malayan, Polynesian, Maori, Micronesian, Eskimo, American Indian),
Negroid races (African, Hottentots, Melanesians/Papua, Negrito, Australian Aborigine, Dravidians, Sinhalese)

We have a mountain in Western Maryland called ‘Negro Mountain’. There have been attempts to change the name, but they’ve never gone over, partly because even a lot of AA people don’t want the history of it messed-with. It has a very interesting story:

Our country is a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds and Americans of all backgrounds deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, said Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., one of the co-sponsors of the bill. What a weenie.

Here’s the wiki on the term ‘Orient’:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orient
I still haven’t figured out what about the term has “deep and demeaning historical roots” - one could say the same, and they probably eventually will, of the term ‘Asian’ or ‘South Asian’- those terms don’t “describe ethnic origin, background or even race” either.
This is just a lot of small-minded ‘hooey’.
(As I said in a previous thread on this issue, a whole RUG companies, are going to have to change their names ;-)
